- 5+ years of experience either at a IB, OR in a VC/PE role in healthcare

- Ideal candidate will possess an MBA (tier 1) / CFA/CA or other relevant accreditation

- Investment banking professionals

- Private Equity professionals

- Corporate development professional in healthcare (Pharma/Medical Device)

Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Ltd.(formerly known as Kotak Investment Advisory Ltd.) is an alternate investment arm of Kotak Mahindra bank with nearly USD 9 Bn AUM, making it Indias largest alternate investment platform. KIAL has been active in alternate space for over 17 years now and manages capital under 6 different alternate class. Kotak Private Equity is one of the assets class within KIAL and one of the oldest PE franchises in India. Kotak PE currently has two strategies, pre-IPO (sector agnostic) and early stage healthcare (focused strategy).

Key Responsibilities:

- Ideal candidate should have curiosity, high engagement and should be meticulous at problem solving. Understanding the healthcare / life science with focus on medical device / digital health as an industry dynamics is a must from both global and domestic perspective.

- AVP will be involved in all aspects of investment process: deal origination, modelling, due diligence, execution, value up and help in framing exists.

- AVP will not only, lead deals / investment opportunities on its own but will also help other members of KIAL in execution and other aspects of due diligence.

Skills and Requirements:

Key Skills required:

- Proven investment sourcing skills, including ability to develop market mapping strategies, generate targets and qualify investment opportunities

- Must possess ability to build financial models, valuation metrics and deal structure

Subject matter expert / appetite to become a subject matter expert (medical device / medtech / digital health)

- Strong work ethics and data driven with excellent communication skills (verbal/writing/presentation)

- Passion to build/ investing and learning about new trends in medical device / medtech industry

- Able to work in small teams and ability to interact comfortably with senior management (internal and external)

- Strong EQ with ability to maintain relationship with external stakeholders, (founders/Investment bankers/ third party agencies etc)
