Kotak Life Insurance - Technical Accounting Role - CA (4-8 yrs)
OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
We are looking for a qualified candidate to handle prepare all the aspects of technical accounting. Research and analyze all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position of our business
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Directing all aspects of premium, commission and claim accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to accounting, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting
2. Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and as per the file and use of the products.
3. Reconciliation, monitoring and action on Open items in Proposal Deposit and other customer deposits
4. Configuration of Chart of Accounts with Life Asia/Group Asia Chart of Accounts
5. UAT of new products and configuration of the same in Life asia/ Group asia
6. Ensuring unit and fund reconciliation
7. Responsible for the financial closing and other disclosures
8. Ensuring the regulatory & statutory compliance
9. Process automation to increase the service quality and to improve on the TAT
10. Unclaimed amount accounting and reporting
11. Reviewing bank reconciliation
12. Fixing of the system bugs
13. Regulatory reporting to IRDAI
14. Co-ordination with auditors and replying to their observations
