Kotak Life Data Analytics team is focused on bringing the future to the present and helping the company thrive through change. Kotak Life Data Analytics team is responsible to use data to solve complex business problems for our users

Kotak Life Data Analytics team will build data intensive frameworks and convergent solutions that enable the company to stay close to the customer, agile and ahead of their competition.

- Specific problems that the team will solve will include analytics to uncover and realize new revenue and cost savings; information management to track and measure key strategic business metrics not available otherwise, Information strategy to identify ways of using information to increase competitive advantage.

Education: B.Tech, MBA/ PGDBM, Masters in Statistics.

Experience: 4 to 7 years

Technical Skills:

- Solid understanding of business functions (preferably Insurance/Banking/Telecom/e-Comm)

- Well versed with SQL, R, MS Office, (Good to have SAS/Python hands-on experience too)

- Experience in conceptualizing, building Predictive Analytics / Statistical Modelling (Regression, LR, DT, Random Forest, Neural Networks, GBM. XGBoost etc.)

- Conversed with latest AI/ML techniques

Functional Skills:

- Has worked extensively on data and can use data to identify and solve problems

- Design and implement the analytics framework, set up analytic systems and processes

- Use a variety of legacy and emerging analytic techniques incorporating supervised and unsupervised methods to be deployed in business decisions

- Build an understanding of how product analytics connects to business strategy and product strategy. How analysts can effectively partner with product teams to build data-driven roadmaps

- Prior experience of having worked in consulting/analytics environment

- Should be data obsessed. Derive insights from data and use the same for product improvements and iterations. Also educate cross functional teams with actionable derived from deep data insight

- Use analytics as a source of competitive differentiation, improving business decision making and customer experience

- Strong problem-solving and presentation skills, with the ability to interface directly with business stakeholders

- Work closely with clients to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to solve key use cases

- Act as a creative thinker to the organization and propose new ways to look at problems by using data and available information (e.g. with predictive modeling, machine learning, etc.) presenting back their findings to the business by sharing their assumptions and validation
