BASIC OBJECTIVE:

The Digital Architect will lead the research, definition, and design of customer-facing applications in the CRM, Websites & Commerce technologies. The Architect will work with internal and external users to architect customer-facing applications for projected growth while maintaining stability, security, and usability. The architect should demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, organizational, and project management skills. The ability to drive process re-design and improvements and provide direction to others for the implementation of those improvements is required. The Architect will support the Company's core competencies of building trust, driving continuous improvement, focusing on the end customer, and setting high standards of performance. The Architect should remain current in all CRM, and E-Commerce related technologies in support of enterprise applications.

Act as a functional & technical advisor of the design, implementation and maintenance of computer systems and/or programs to increase business effectiveness, solve problems and create new opportunities to assist in the achievement of business goals. Prepares architecture materials and present to upper management. Will develop and monitor architecture policies, procedures, and standards documents. Collaborates directly with all management levels and project leaders to determine system objectives and solutions. May act as a mentor to others and provides technical direction in the performance of assigned projects.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Skills

- Work in multi-disciplinary team environment to analyze, design, and implement application and integration architectures with systems such as Web/Mobile, e-Commerce, CMS, CRM, and Integration platforms.

- Make key design decisions regarding but not limited to integrations and data flow with E-commerce, ERP, CMS, CRM, logistics service provider, and payment service provider systems.

- Work closely with the cross-functional teams and other architects to determine the functional and non-functional scope.

- Bring architecture best practices to the table and influence, consult and convince business and internal teams on architectural choices. Propose scenario- s, or roadmaps to reach a target architecture.

- Maintains expertise as an SME in two or more architecture technical disciplines (E-commerce, CMS, & CRM) and defines architectural standards and best practices within those disciplines.

- Prepare and maintain documents that include architecture diagrams, data models, and navigation maps in the area of expertise.

- Analyze and prepare recommendations to address existing and potential trouble areas in systems and procedures across the organization as well as design and recommendation on new solutions both in relation to hardware and software design.

- Translates business requirements into technical requirements and assist other team members in implementing the solution.

- Template solutions to promote reusability across business units.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

Supervisor Relationships:

- Reports to Director - Enterprise Architecture Office

- When working on application systems, direction and technical guidance are given to higher, equal and lower level classifications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

- Requires a minimum of 8 years progressive solution architecture experience, in Digital/eCommerce space in a cloud-based environment.

- At least 8 years of experience with the concepts, philosophies, and tools behind the design of applications, information, and underlying information technologies.

- Demonstrated experience providing solutions that span multiple hosting environments (On-prem, private/public cloud, PaaS, SaaS) across Commerce, CRM, PIM & CMS technologies.

- Experience developing 3-5-year roadmaps of the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio from current to future state

- Experience in influencing, selling and driving alignment on the strategy across the matrixed organization

- Experience with any major E-commerce & CMS technologies is required.

- 5-6 years of experience in Salesforce.com (Sales, Service & Marketing cloud) is required.
