WHAT YOU'LL DO : You will be working with business and topic leaders, consultants and Corporate Finance & Strategy (CFS) knowledge colleagues in all global hubs partnering to deliver on topic relevant client conversations, cases, proposals, knowledge and/or proprietary data and tools creation. Work with case (and proposal) teams : - Regularly partner with senior business leaders, expert consultants and Corporate Finance and Strategy (CFS) Knowledge colleagues in all global hubs to develop and own end-to-end proprietary data, tools & analytics core to CFS commercial offerings (e.g., codifying proprietary methodology into tools, etc.) - including deploying it directly with project teams - Partner with case teams to identify & address critical knowledge needs - Provide customized knowledge for client work, prepare accurate, well-developed documents and charts - Execute and coordinate complex research and analysis requests across regions, with a focus on IP and networks (e.g., bench marking, usage of practice proprietary tools, conducting IP or networks related research and analysis on relevant industries or companies) - Deliver original analysis and insights to case team, provide thought partnership - With consultants, collect, synthesize, analyze case team learning & input into new knowledge products (vignettes,experience) Work with topic/sector teams - Contribute to and evolve organization's perspective on best-in-class research, and our arsenal of tools, techniques and partners to help deliver at that standard - Build & update new topic-related customized knowledge products and contribute to PA intellectual capital development - Actively participate in efforts to further develop organization IP and networks tools and methodologies - Contribute to content development around topic/sector for PA meetings & trainings - Review knowledge products & ensure they are current & relevant and update when appropriate - Mentor and coach junior team members in developing and delivering our offerings to project teams around the world YOU'RE GOOD AT : - Strong, proven analytical and conceptual capabilities. Working in a global environment. - Self-starter with strong self-motivation YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) : - Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferred) with high academic achievement required, particularly in areas of chemistry, engineering, computer science, applied math/physics, or life sciences. - 4-6 years- of work experience with IP knowledge/ research, IP analytics, data science or consulting experience. - Prior experience or background in innovation analytics, patent analytics, technology intelligence/ research, innovation consulting, or technology transfer/ licensing, or technology/ R&D strategy is desirable. - Expert knowledge of Excel, Access, network visualization and analysis tools (e.g. Giphy, Netdraw, UCInet, Touchgraph Navigator, others), and/or basic programming capabilities (Python, R) will be a very strong and desirable asset. - Strong analytical skills, ability & desire to work with large data sets and demonstrated attention to detail. YOU'LL WORK WITH : This professional will support the CFS PA through managing and processing research requests, assisting consultants with topic-specific problems, and providing analysis to drive insight into specific client issues. This individual will be focused primarily on the Innovation Analytics topic (encompassing Intellectual Property and Network Analytics), though he/she will at times, provide broader support to the CFS Practice Area. The Knowledge Analyst will interact with both local and international teams and use an extensive collection of internal and external information resources and tools/methodologies to gather, filter, analyse, synthesize, package and deliver information to case teams. This professional will participate in and manage organization analysis projects under the guidance of senior CFS PA consultants and analysts.
