KisanKraft - AGM - Production (10-15 yrs)

Focus of this position is to actively manage our production team consisting of Managers, Engineers & Technicians (BE, Diploma, ITI, Self-taught etc.) at our factory in Andhra Pradesh. You must organize the production department, develop systems, procedures, and plan activities.


You will be a part of the factory management team.


Knowledge Requirement:


- Must have hands on experience in manufacturing with press-shop, drilling and welding operations, painting, and assembly lines etc.


- Must be able to read and update the engineering drawings for various parts, sub-assemblies, components, machines etc.


- Must be an established leader and have the capability to lead people of different skills.


- You will also need to work with many other departments e.g., management, sales, spare-parts, accounts, administration, branding, warehouse etc. to improve performance of the company.


- Must have knowledge of using and maintaining various jigs, fixtures, tooling etc.


- Must have good technical knowledge of engines viz. Petrol, Kerosene and Diesel.


- Must have thorough knowledge of a variety of transmission systems and gear boxes.


- Candidate must also have experience in tool maintenance.


- Exposure to electrical systems preferred, but not required.


- Must know various measuring instruments used in manufacturing, geometric dimensioning and

tolerancing process.


- Must know how to test various components of machinery e.g., engines, gearbox etc. measuring

performance of combustion, emission, torque etc. and prepare necessary reports, to ensure quality of

products.


- Must be hands-on engineer for manufacturing, repairs & service, warranty investigations, development of solutions to product problems.


- Must be able to identify problems, conduct root-cause analysis, rectify them to overhaul/service any machinery, and prevention of recurrence of these problems.


- You must also be fluent in English to read and understand various documents, work with government agencies all over India, and with our principals abroad.


Certification & Compliance Responsibility:


Responsible for all statutory compliances for factory.


Working knowledge of various certifications, testing and quality standards is required. BIS:ISI and FMTTI certification: You should a working knowledge of certification process. You will be responsible for preparation of application, follow-ups during testing, correction in documentation or product as needed to achieve final goal of compliance and certification.


You will be responsible for record keeping at factory to comply with various certifications.


Additional Responsibilities include:


- Develop systems, procedures, and plan activities around production and after-sales service.


- Updating documents (products engineering drawings, part-lists, product improvements) in factory, including old and new models and modifications from time to time.


- Test new products under consideration by company. Develop matrices for testing of machinery and recording performance. Present testing report to management.


- Should be able to understand working system of new products brought to company.


- Inspection and documenting incoming raw material, parts and components for quality, quantity, and correctness.


- Periodic checks and calibration of various equipment to ensure working condition in manufacturing or service. Keep record of calibration.


- Periodic maintenance schedule for all sections of factory e.g., metal-workshop, painting system, plastic molding system, assembly line, measuring and testing instruments etc.


- Record keeping of maintenance done, breakdowns, change in process or components to reduce breakdowns etc.


- Training of employees at factory from time to time, as needed.


- Exchange employees from service team so that expertise is developed, and idle time of employees is eliminated.


- Work with our vendors to improve and develop new products


- Work with HR to handle non-performing employees


Required experience At least 10 years in Senior Management level for manufacturing in farm machinery or automotive (2-wheeler or 4-wheeler) segment, strong skills in people management, customer-interface, written and verbal communication, trouble shooting and creative thinking etc.


Candidate must have had at least 50 people working under him.


Education: BE or BTech in Mechanical or Automobile or Production or Industrial Engineering
