Job Description- Engineering manager - Gaming industry

Responsibilities:

We are looking for outstanding leaders with a passion for technology and the ability to work with a diverse team. The Engineering Manager position will play a key role in the success of our globally loved product.

- Work on the full product development lifecycle from requirement gathering, product design, development, to roll out and maintenance.

- Should have experience in building iOS and Android apps using XCode/Android Studio

- Lead and manage a talented and passionate engineering team

- Drive technical excellence by validating technology choices, architectural design, and code quality, diving deeper when needed

- Manage the development pipeline to deliver features on schedule while maintaining a high bar for quality. Closely Interact with other functions such as PM, Design, UI/UX, Art, QA, and deliver planned features.

- Enable the team to succeed by identifying gaps improving engineering process, and providing growth opportunities

- Be the voice of the team in interacting with various partners across fields both inside and outside of the organization

- Act as a conduit from executive leadership down to the team, distilling strategic direction into tactical action.

Must have:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.

- 8+ years of engineering management experience and/or experience as a principal/senior engineer mentoring junior developers

- Experience with iOS and Android native app development

- Experience with integrating backend APIs and 3rd party SDKs

- Experience with monetisation models such as In-App-Purchase, Subscriptions, Ad monetisation etc.

- Experience with 2D and 3D game development using Unity game engine.

- Experience with creating reusable SDKs and modules

- Experience with Firebase features like firebase database, remote config, notifications etc

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
