Key Accounts Manager - Food Services (1-4 yrs)
- The position is open to those who have an excellent understanding of the Processed Foods Industry - especially those working as KAMs in Food Services servicing Large National Accounts.
If you are an MBA-Agriculture, and B.E./B.Tech. in Food Technology (from UDCT or CFTRI) having good communication skills, you would be just the right profile.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Communicate routinely with Key Accounts on various operational matters, especially on their customised requirements.
- Understanding customer expectations in advance and be proactive in action, ensuring turnaround on time.
- Monthly reporting of key business parameters (Billings vs Targets) to customer and internally to management (Billings, Collections, No. of Days outstanding, R&D expenses on New Product Development for customised products).
- Coordinating with customer and various departments internally for timely Quarterly Business Review and 3-1-Q meetings (Long Term Planning for Supply Chain by Key Accounts for whom you are and will be a strategic vendor)
- Coordinating with customers/ Distribution Centres (DCs) and plants to ensure forecasts have minimal variance, with focus on SOMs etc.
- Working closely with processing/ manufacturing plants and logistics team for ensuring assured supplies to key customer.
- Work closely with customer team members at various levels for ensuring effective and timely communication
- Coordinate for all communications with the key customers on product development, costing, quality, legal, etc, and drive time-line driven projects internally.
- Proactively participate in key-customer's restaurant quality improvement and innovation programs
- Responsible for effectively communicating all the customer expectations to various departments internally involved at processing/ manufacturing plants in all locations.
- Project tracking and timely updates to customers for any potential projects identified with customer
- Working closely with all DCs and key-accounts in implementing efficient processes for ensuring timely payments, timely communication of debit/credit notes, reconciliation of accounts & resolving any outstanding issues
- Regular review of RM/PM variance with customer and working with customer for timely price corrections.
- Keep regular track of variance accounts.
Technical Skill Areas :
- Sound Commercial understanding for ensuring each Key Account's product-mix is profitable and continuously growing in billings.
- Supply chain understanding to ensure Key Accounts orders are delivered on time every time.
- Good Understanding of Food Quality to ensure interface with knowledgeable inputs to customers product development team.
- Basic understanding of Customer's priorities (Food Service and Restaurant Operations).
- Excellent in analysis and using excel work sheets.
