The Sales Account Manager is responsible for ensuring that relevant customers, partners, and influencers in the territory (architects, and designers) choose for their specialty digital display needs.
- Their primary responsibility will be to maximize revenues and profitability for company
- The Sales Account Manager role requires an ability to sell directly and influence industry thought-leaders.
- The Sales Account Manager will think and act strategically and tactically in achieving business results for the territory.
- The Sales Account Manager will contribute to the territory sales strategy, implement that strategy to achieve aggressive sales goals.
- The successful candidate must work well with internal colleagues in Marketing, Engineering, Customer Support, and other functions, in support of a collaborative, customer-focused organization.
Essential Functions :
- Broker the relationship between company and assigned accounts
- Create and present proposals to the Director on revenue driving activities at each account
- Assist customers with escalations for technical support issues
- Refine and execute sales strategy to meet business goals in the territory
- Solicit and participate in joint sales calls and model the speed, agility, aggressiveness, teamwork, and responsiveness required to win in our marketplace
- Contribute to pricing decisions by providing market intelligence, competitive information, and other market, customer, feedback
- Actively contribute and work with outbound marketing to develop and implement marketing programs that grow revenue
- Actively contribute to the ongoing analysis, refinement and execution of business strategies
- Develop and maintain forecast reporting and provider regular and accurate updates to management
- Responsible for Government / PSU / Large Corporates - sales & operations for the entire Zone
- New Client Acquisition, key account management and business development across the allotted zone.
- Achieve Sales/ volume target of Zone through GEM, Tender and Direct order from Government departments.
- Negotiate contract, agreements, MOUs with Ministries and State Government Agencies and other organization.
- Minimum volume of business to be handled - 10 Cr per annum.
- Other Responsibilities
- Communicate market and product information to business leadership team
- Assist with account and quarterly business reviews, as required
- Develop relationships with buyer via after-hours sales engagements
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree/PG in business or related field required
- Minimum of five years of technology sales experience, which includes at least 3 years of pro AV sales experience preferred.
Prior sales experience with LED, LCD displays, Video walls preferred
- Track record of demonstrated success selling and forecasting sales in the territory required
- Demonstrated effective communication skills; oral, written and presentation, required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- End user customer experience driving large project success a significant plus
- Preference for experience with contemporary productivity and communication tools (e.g. Skype, Social Media, telepresence, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in fast paced dynamic environment required
- Problem-solving skills required; ideal candidate will be a decisive self-starter
- Proven high-energy team player with sound decision-making background required
- The individual in this position must be self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal direction
Other - Travel required 60% of the time
