Key Account Manager - eCommerce - FMCG (3-6 yrs)
The E- Commerce KAM role is a critical P&L role, responsible for managing the E-Commerce account. The incumbent will need to have a strong understanding of account management and digital commerce in order to drive the overall top line and bottom line for the account. This will be a mix of strategic and operational role with responsibility for building innovative new capabilities for the company in addition to driving strong in-year financial results
Role specifications :
Planning :
- Input into brand strategy development
- Translate brand strategy/ quarterly plans with retailer
- Plan detailed monthly promos using key principles of spend conditionality and trade promo evaluation
Activation :
- Ensure retailer adherence
- Manage approvals & provisioning
- Make in-month corrections to plans as needed
- Assortment Management
- Identify gaps in assortment, secure listings at retailer
- Ensure timeliness & accuracy of new listings process
Sales Operations :
- Take overall responsibility for fill rate and availability
- Directly own monthly forecast and S&OP process
- Directly own monthly forecast and S&OP process
- Oversee billing, invoicing, delivery & returns processes
Financial Hygiene :
- Work with retailer to ensure timely payment to the company
- Ensure claims are validated and paid in timely manner
- Drive quarterly claim process with retailer
Process Improvement :
- Project manage cross-functional projects
- Liaise with retailers to execute process improvements
Qualification and Experience :
- Post Graduate degree (MBA) in Sales & marketing
- 4 + years of experience in Sales or Sales support function
- Prior exposure in managing key accounts and/ or trade promotions would be preferable
