General purpose of job:-  The incumbent will be responsible for managing the overall maintenance of the site including the plant and utility equipment. This includes compliance to all plant operating parameters as specified and the various regulatory/statutory bodies. He will be responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance at site machinery, modifications in the site,equipment including inducting new machinery.  Principal accountability:-  - Manage all activities of the plant maintenance function  - Provides quality, timely and efficient maintenance service to the end that equipment availability is maximized, equipment condition is maintained assets are protected  - Facilitate preventative maintenance   - Manages all external maintenance resources. Develops and implements outside service contracts & AMCs  - Daily Maintenance review, breakdowns and other maintenance activity to determine actions to be taken to prevent re-occurrence. Develop standard operating procedures   - Develops departmental budgetary expectations and goals  - Maintain calibration of instrument / equipment  - Maintain spare parts, fuels & lubricants etc. as per plant requirement  - Knowledge and application of food safety requirements in the scope of maintenance.  - Shall be responsible for reporting and executing the responsibilities related to FSMS, Shall be responsible to execute any other responsibility related to FSMS as and when entrusted by the management  Education /Knowledge and skills:-  - B.Tech /Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engg. from a reputed institute, 6 to 10 years in a large unit handling the maintenance function independently, Ability to work with and resolve issues with the equipment, Ability to design new processes and equipment selection for the same.
