Private Equity Associate 6 Years Experience A Grade Institute MBA

Location: Mumbai, India

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Private Equity Associate with Minimum 6 years of experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with a solid background in financial analysis, deal execution, and portfolio management. The candidate will work closely with senior leadership to identify investment opportunities and contribute to the growth and value creation in the portfolio companies. A background from an A-grade institute (e.g., IIM, ISB, etc.) and an MBA qualification is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Opportunity Identification, Internal research and DD

- Participate in deal sourcing, including evaluating market trends and identifying high-potential industries and companies.

Financial Analysis & Due Diligence

- Conduct detailed financial modeling, business valuation, and scenario analysis to assess investment opportunities.

- Lead and support comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, legal, and market analysis.

- Prepare investment memoranda and internal presentations for approval from senior management and investment committees.

Transaction Execution

- Assist in structuring transactions and support in negotiating terms and conditions for deals.

- Work on preparing and reviewing legal documents, such as term sheets, investment agreements, and other related documentation.

- Manage the transaction process and liaise with legal, financial, and tax advisors.

Portfolio Management

- Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, including conducting quarterly performance reviews.

- Support in the development and execution of value creation plans for portfolio companies.

- Collaborate with senior management teams of portfolio companies to drive strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

Reporting & Communication

- Prepare periodic financial and operational reports for internal stakeholders and investors.

- Maintain investor relations and communicate portfolio performance updates regularly.

Research & Market Intelligence

- Stay updated on market developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact investment strategies.

- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support investment decisions.

Qualifications:

- MBA from an A-grade institute (e.g., IIM, ISB, etc.). is added advantage:

- 6 years of hands on experience in working with Private equity, Venture capital funds or part of Startup where the candidates has been part of the fund raising team with a focus on financial analysis, deal execution, and portfolio management.

- Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and transaction structuring.

- Proven ability to lead and manage due diligence processes and investment analysis.

- Experience working with senior leadership and interacting with external advisors.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Desired Skills:

- Knowledge of specific sectors such as technology, healthcare, consumer goods, or industrials is a plus.

- Familiarity with key financial software and tools (Excel, PowerPoint, financial databases, etc.).

- Understanding of Indian market dynamics and regulations is preferred.
