JOB DESCRIPTION:

- The prominent role of the Head- Special Projects is to lead special projects for specific initiatives to advance the mission of the organization, plan and deliver high quality projects in professional manner, manage relationships and projects as a component of undergraduate and post-graduate programs.

- Work closely with the top management to understand needs and execute special initiatives.

- Prepare project plans detailing the steps, timelines, and resources needed to accomplish the specific initiatives.

- Directly participates in system design and implementation.

- Ensure document processing and automating procedures to ensure efficient operations.

- Update key stakeholders on a monthly, daily or real time basis as required.

- Work collaboratively with others in a diverse and inclusive environment.

- Manage all operational and administrative aspect of the projects from following up with the corporate partners, contracts, budgets to logistic management.

- Spearhead and drive events associated with the projects (i.e. kick off and final Conference/jury).

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

- Age criteria for this position should be between 30-35 years.

- Experience in planning and implementing key strategic initiatives in a complex organization preferably in a higher education setting.

- Needs to be tech savvy. Intermediate to advanced level experience using Microsoft Office and technically qualified.

- Master's degree is required, preferably a combination of Engineering and MBA.

- Possess highly developed interpersonal skills and a team-player.

- Good written, conversational and communication skills.

- Min of 8-12 years of experience with a good track record in managing projects in a higher education environment.

- Willingness to learn, self-motivated and capable of handling unstructured work scenarios.

- Commitment, enthusiasm and preparedness to learn.

- Knowledge of budgeting principles as well as organizational practices.

- High degree of initiative with minimal supervision.

- Experience in multi-cultural work environment.
