Junior Trader - Discretionary Trading

A leading financial services firm is looking to a hire a Junior Trader for their Discretionary Trading team in Mumbai.

The candidate will be responsible for :

- Evaluating strategies to be used in discretionary/special situations trading

- Managing trading positions

- The role requires a trader who is intuitive, forward thinking, analytical and focused. Discipline and attention to details are a must.

- The candidate will be working in a small team of highly skilled researchers and traders, making this an ideal opportunity to learn from a range of different sources and backgrounds

- The role provides an excellent opportunity to understand how the nuances of capital markets regulations can be used to create profitable trades

Functional Responsibilities :

- Creating spreadsheets to analyse trades and their P/L potential

- Tracking news/announcements related to ongoing trades

- Generating new trading ideas

- Over time, the candidate will be expected to take responsibility for managing trade positions from ideation to completion

Job Requirements :

- Should be an MBA from IIM with relevant experience.

- Analytical skills, logical thinking

- Basic knowledge of derivatives, fundamental and technical analysis

- Effective communication and collaborative skills

- Meticulous, methodical, inquisitive personality with willingness to stretch, hunger to learn and passion for markets

- Ability to work as a part of a team
