Jubilant Lifesciences - Portfolio Manager - Pharma - Dosage Forms

Position Summary :

Identification & evaluation of new products for strengthening product pipeline. To evaluate commercial attractiveness of products that are part of JGLs portfolio by in-depth assessment of market size, competition, IP landscape & launch timelines.

OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsibility

1. To recommend new products for addition / replacement in existing portfolio - 20% weightage

Results Expected :

- Scan market data, competition, new approvals to create a product short-list for further evaluation

Ways to measure accomplishments :

No. of Products evaluated & identified

2. Create sales forecast for new opportunities & run financial analysis

Results Expected :

- To ensure short-listed products are commercially attractive and are viable

Ways to measure accomplishments :

Number of sales forecasts / NPV evaluation 25% Weightage

Responsibility

3. Periodic review of portfolio including products that are under development - 20% weightage

Results Expected

- To ensure that products under devp. remain viable throughout product development & can withstand change in market dynamics

Ways to measure accomplishments :

Check ANDA approvals, market growth, & other metrics

Responsibility 

4. Update sales forecast based on latest data at least half yearly and during strategy meet & board review meetings. - 15 % Weightage

Results Expected

Support US business & finance team for updating sales projections

Other Responsibilities :

5. Support Project go/no-go decisions as may be required due to change in market dynamics / competitive situation

Results Expected :

Evaluate financial viability for time & cost over-run projects or based on changes in market dynamics

6. Share volume sales projections & other data with PMO, business and R&D teams

Results Expected :

To ensure all stakeholders get the required product information & peruse the same data

Internal Interfaces ( Other than Direct Reports) :

Business, R&D, IP, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, R&D

Experience -

8-10 years of experience in Pharma Industry including strategic & portfolio management

Technical Skills :

- Data analytics, Secondary research, Competitive intelligence

- Sales forecasting, & financial analysis

- Good knowledge of Generic Pharmaceutical Industry

- Understanding of US market dynamics

- Proficient in IMS data analysis, and well versed with use of databases & websites such as Thomson Newport, USFDA, and Orangebook

- Good Analytical & communication Skills & relationship management.
