1. JOB DETAILS:

Position Title: Manager - Training coffe / Ops

2. QSR INDUSTRY & JUBILANT FOODWORKS:

It is the master franchisee for Domino's Pizza and Dunkin' in South Asia & expanding its foot print into large categories like Chinese / Fried chicken and Biryani with brands like Hongs Kitchen, Popeye's and Ekdum. Its by far the largest organized QSR business in India, which is at a sweet spot of building consumer brands, enabled digitally across the value chain.

India QSR industry is set to grow at 20% CAGR till 2025, rise in urbanization, rapid acceleration of e-ordering and double income household leading to increased occasion of eating out or delivery. With these macro parameters, QSR industry is at a inflexion point of hyper growth

2. JOB PURPOSE:

Dunkin, is the world second largest coffee Brand by unit sold and second largest by sales value. Dunkin is transforming in India from an all day food restaurant into a focused coffee store. This transformation is happening across the 6p's ( Product, People , Proposition, People , Packaging & Promotion). Hence, Dunkin India is looking for a passionate Barista , who is able to ignite a coffee culture. The person will be responsible to develop coffee knowledge and skills at store and also the engagement techniques at store level.

The candidate will support Ops leader in building effective capability for driving coffee leadership within their districts or regions, create career roadmap & opportunities that allows barista partners to grow and develop within their roles.

Training head will lead the development to enable us to build the overall coffee culture in stores and in Dunkin brand. Work with Ops team & NPD to find GAP in execution and identify the training needs, which will help to serve best brew to our guest and always deliver world class experiment every Elevate, Support and Motivate customers and team members around coffee.

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Training & Development

- Developing SOP's, methods and techniques which enhances capability of Coffee Operations of team members in store.

- Design & develop the overall learning / development / Barista training for the Dunkin caf operations

- Custodian of product & service NPS delivered at store. Conduct product coaching and communication which brings ops upto speed towards category strategy and at the same time improve beverage enhancement in store.

- Instilling a culture of Guest delight and also helping the team members to develop confidence in customer management and solving customer query

- Managing and Strengthening Training structure , brings transparency in the way career enhancement is managed in stores

- Drive the barista certification in store and also across the corporate store. Make 30hours of training mandatory for Dunkin barista

- Drive engagement in teams by conducting cross store audits and building right certification

- Team leadership, manage the 2 team members and work with DM to track the training needs, work with NPD and Ops to land the training needs in store

Creating a World Class Barista Experience:

1. Support and coach staff/ buddy trainer to become Coffee masters

2. Support and plan sessions to certify team member to become Coffee masters

3. Coach and guide team members to conduct effective coffee tastings in stores, which establishes brand credentials and also create talkability of the brand

4. Encourage coffee tastings to take place across the day, to inspire coffee craftsmanship & passion amongst all team member/partners & customers.

5. Certify Coffee Masters on brewing methods as part of the Advanced Certification Program.

6. Facilitate beverage / coffee education training sessions or initiative as required by the operations leaders

Create an Ownership Culture and Sell More Coffee:

1. Create story telling moments and share coffee stories with all team member and customers, ensuring knowledge is passed to customers and team members in a way that is memorable and easy to understand

2. Support promotion rollouts by reinforcing the coffee elements and check for team member understanding.

3. Track monthly coffee calendar execution, and regularly track and present once a month to DGM - Beverage and L&D lead

4. Design and Roll Out New coffee initiatives and competitions

5. Execute Coffee Annual plan and PAN India Coffee Responsibilities and Plans for stores.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

1. Minimum a graduate / IHM diploma and any certification in beverage professional training is a addon.

2. A great coffee story teller and posses enhanced 'Latte Art Skills'

3. Must be a coffee master and has experience in working in coffee operations

4. Ability to demonstrate coffee passion through effective story telling with customers

5. Certified on advanced brewing methods: French Press, Siphon brewing, Pour Over, Chemex etc

6. Has built coffee credentials as a leader and able to flawlessly execute coffee initiatives previously

7. Have had experience in training in retail field for 5-7 years and atleast 2 years in Coffee

8. NON Negotiable - This job is hands on leadership. Where you will work with senior stake holders of the brand and ability to go to stores, observe and work closely. This role will expect you to travel to stores atleast 15 days a month and work with teams in store.
