Jubilant Foodworks - Senior Manager - User Experience Design

- We are looking for a seasoned Senior Manager - User Experience Design to join our growing Digital Product & Design organization.

- The Digital Product & Design organization is responsible for building the next generation of best-in-class digital experiences for Millions of users across India and the South Asia market for JFL.

- As a Senior Manager - User Experience Design, you will be responsible for driving the UX design strategy and execution on a portfolio of products / brands and deliver delightful best-in-class consumer experiences for millions of users for food discovery, ordering and fulfilment on Dominos Pizzas / Dunkin Donuts / Hongs Kitchen in India and in JFLs key markets.

- Your mission will be to identify the right user and experience problems to solve and take resulting design ideas from conception, through validation, to successful roll-out, followed by iterating on the user experience as needed. This will include inspiring, influencing & working closely with leaders across product management, analytics, user research, engineering, marketing, operations and guest relations.

What will you be doing?

- Our design team is involved at every step of a project from gathering insights, brainstorming, prototyping, and experimentation to launching pixel-perfect designs.

- As a senior member of the Product & Design team, you will possess a healthy blend of user-centered design principles and expertise in visual design, interaction design, information architecture and usability. You will be responsible for imagining and creating simple-to-use, lovable experiences around food as well as continuously innovating on our existing user experience.

- Your specific responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Analysis & Planning :

- Analyze Voice of Customer and Data from internal / external sources, industry, customer surveys and usability studies to prioritize the right problems and opportunities and identify emerging consumer behavior trends.

- Conceive suitable A/B design experiments and manage execution and analysis of the experiments.

- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define user-centered design success criteria associated with improving the user experience.

- Work in partnership with the Digital functions leadership to build the Product & Design roadmap and be responsible for project management of all design projects.

Design Execution & Delivery :

- Communicate with key user segments and operational teams to understand limitations in the current user experience while also building a strong understanding of the business.

- Lead design thinking exercises with cross-functional teams and collaboratively solve complex user experience issues.

- Communicate and present design concepts, user needs, and design rationale to multidisciplinary teams, as well as to key stakeholders using storytelling techniques.

- Develop personas, customer journey maps, conceptual diagrams, task flows, storyboards, wireframes, visual mockups and prototypes that outline current and future state of the product, and propose design solutions to gain strategic alignment.

- Build simple / complex interaction experiences based on a high-level concept, illustrating a large number of use cases and conditions, resolving dependencies, working with and pushing against technical constraints.

- Improve the UI architecture in line with evolving customer, product and business needs. Create detailed interaction and pixel specs, preparing assets for use on a variety of platforms. Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications.

- Collaborate with engineering leaders to ensure implementation of the visual and interface designs.

- Plan and execute post-launch evaluations to measure success of design interventions and derive insights to improve the experience.

Design Strategy & Team Mentoring :

- Craft, pitch & execute mid to long term design strategies to build a lovable experience for users. Be on top of emerging consumer behaviour trends and pro-actively identify new experience paradigms (omni-channel, voice, contactless) in the digital / physical world.

- Elicit ideas and assist team members to build a shared understanding of the product vision and our user experience philosophy.

- Drive the continuous improvement of user-centered design processes and design guidelines.

- Be a design thought-leader and mentor other designers in the team. Build awareness & drive evangelization of emerging mobile and multi-modal interactions that enhance user experience.

- Identify new design tools and applications that helps build superior user experiences and improves design teams productivity and quality of deliverables.

Who we are looking for?

- You are deeply passionate about mobile apps and the latest technologies and have a keen eye and understanding of what makes a good user experience on mobile and other connected devices.

- You are obsessed about users - you place yourself in the position of your users, feel their problems and are driven to design and make amazing experiences for them.

- You have demonstrated design thinking expertise for platform level user experience transformation.

- You have expertise in using various design and prototyping tools and softwares including but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Invision, Balsamiq, Visio, Photoshop, Illustrator, Zeplin, Maze.

- You are an expert in using style guides, iconography, and/or typography

- You are an extremely confident communicator (oral, written and presentations) and are able to productively collaborate and influence your peers and cross-functional teams to build the best experience for users.

- You can manage multiple projects and priorities skilfully while working under strict timelines.

- You are a mentor to various designers and are a continuous source of inspiration for them.

- You are self-driven and are comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment and can easily switch contexts as and when needed.

Education : M.Des with a specialization in Digital, Visual, Interaction or Digital Media Design or a similar masters degree, along with relevant industry experience.

Experience : 8 years of experience in User Experience Design (of which at least 5+ years in designing a mobile, consumer-tech product) in a consumer Internet, food ordering or e-commerce company.

At least 3 years of recent experience of managing or mentoring designers in the team.
