R&D Manager ( Seasoning & Sauces ) - Jubilant Food works - Noida

Key Responsibilities :

1. Lead NPD and Commercialization for Seasoning, Culinary and Sauces; Develop and commercialize recipes for products (Seasoning, Sauces) across brands.

2. Coordinate with Marketing and Chefs to ensure new product launches as per timelines at targeted costs. Understand Food safety and FSSAI guidelines

3. Conduct trials, record feedbacks, effectively communicate to internal stakeholders and suppliers

4. Create concept samples and conduct feasibility studies to develop innovation pipeline.

5. Check on legal compliance, cost structure, and identify ingredient and equipment requirements.

6. Create and maintain an ecosystem of suppliers for 3rd party manufacturing and Work with Suppliers to develop IP for JFL products

7. Hold regular innovation sessions with all key ingredient manufacturers and vendors.

8. Work with internal and external stakeholders to discover product recipes.

9. Value Engineering of existing ingredients and products leading to significant cost savings.

10. Coordinate the sourcing of ingredients and conduct pilot plant trails and scale up trails at commissary and also develop SOP.

11. 20% traveling is required Pan India for product development, supplier visit.

12. Work with commissaries and assist plant production for their queries and resolving issue

13.Researching new cost-reducing manufacturing processes that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

14. Communicating with relevant parties regarding food quality and safety concerns. Utilizing formulation software to create and update formulations.

15. Performing independent laboratory Prototyping, Testing and Tech Transfer activities

16. 10-15 years of expertise in NPD scale up and tech transfer support to co-manufacturers and own plant Should have strong exposure in managing smooth tech transfer for Seasoning and Sauces products. Understands the strategic business requirement of the organization based on the organization growth focus and strategy

17. Strong stakeholder management experience ability to deal with ambiguous requirements.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS : Quality, Sourcing/Procurement, Plant Manufacturing Teams, Marketing, Chefs

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :

- B Tech/Post Graduate/ PhD (Food Technology); Post Graduation Desirable

- 10-15 years of experience in Food Product Development.

- Working knowledge and hands on experience with Seasoning, Sauces, Oil technology, Emulsions based product development.

- Working knowledge of Related Equipment and associated Engineering Aspects for Seasoning and Sauces Products, food manufacturing processes, quality assurance principles, ingredient properties and sensory evaluation.

- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work in a deadline driven environment with cross-functional teams
