Job Description

1. JOB DETAILS:

Position Title: Assistant Manager - Materials Management

Reports to: DGM - SCM

Department: Supply Chain

2. JOB PURPOSE:

To lead Supply/ Demand and Inventory Management across the Supply Chain for beverage category

3. JOB DIMENSIONS:

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

Manage in the following areas

- Ensuring availability of all the beverage SKUs at all the time across all restaurants and SCCs. This will involve getting demand plan from marketing, getting supply plan generated, coordinate with vendors to ensure adherence to supply plan, getting timely release of POs to vendors, tracking dispatches, review Inventory levels with SCCs where direct deliveries of stock to restaurants is not there and take corrective action to ensure availability

- Setting inventory norms for all the SKUs at all the Supply chain centres (SCCs)

- Periodic review of forecast and take corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy in coordination with Marketing

- Measuring vendor performance, identify key issues and discuss with vendors for the corrective actions

- Minimize logistics cost & Obsolescence of stock

- Participate and interact with cross-functional team

- Ensure successful launch of new products with timely availability of new ingredients and phase-out of the product as well

- SLOB Management

- Periodic publishing of planning dashboard to internal stakeholders

- Align business by regular reporting on product availability

- Efficient use of IT tools for planning, analytics and performance monitoring & reporting

- Support and drive various business critical projects including implementation of latest SCM technology solution in the department from time to time

- Write-off/Additional cost to the business

6. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal:

- All departments including Marketing, Supply chain centres (SCCs), Finance, QA, Procurement, IT & Logistics team, Restaurants, Ops team

External:

- Vendors

- Transporters

7. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

- Qualification - Engineering Graduate / PG. Materials Management/ MBA

- Experience - 2 to 4 years- experience in the specialised Supply Chain services industry. Can consider a fresh management graduate with previous working experience.

Skills Required:

- Strong Analytical & Interpersonal skills

- SAP or any such IT system hands-on work experience

- Good knowledge of MS Office

- Strong communicator

- Team player

- Desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
