Human Resources Manager - JSW Foundation About JSW Foundation (JSW Shakti - BPO) The JSW Foundation has been helping the women to become self-aware of their true potential by bequeathing them with the clout to make decisions for their own good so they find their rightful place in the society and at the same time, contribute to the GDP fueling the economic growth of the nation. Christened as JSW Shakti, five BPO centres have been setup in rural Karnataka, Maharashtra and West Bengal through this initiative with an aim to use IT-enabled services to provide localised employment to rural women above 18 years of age. Position Reports to : Head Business Development - Information Technology Enabled Services Critical Tasks : Essential Functions Organizational Level Responsibilities : - Develop and implement HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives. - Function as a strategic business advisor to the leadership/senior management regarding key organizational and management priorities. - Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, engagement, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits. - Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals. Industrial Relations: - Negotiating collective bargaining deals between union and management - Developing labor policies - Handling grievance procedures - Managing dispute resolutions involving unions, management, employees or government agencies, etc. - Ensuring HR staff is knowledgeable about union contract compliance - Advising management on contract negotiations and similar management-union relations. - Heading monthly labor management meetings - Consulting with HR executive staff regarding personnel policies - Creating and revising union contracts - Preparing documentation regarding labor relations assignments - Statutory Compliance - It is absolutely imperative to comply with all legal and statutory norms for businesses to operate successfully. This often involves significant investment of resources, time, and continuous monitoring to be in the know of all the changes that are happening, in order to be compliant and avoid penalties. To ensure timely and efficient statutory compliance, the following aspects must be in place: - Unrestricted access to local and regional expertise - Expert support during all audits and inspections - Following ethical practices - Knowledge of timelines for adherence to the many laws and regulations - Updated documents and data in a centralised location, and which are readily available Supervisory Responsibilities : This position is directly responsible for leading team members of the following verticals - Employee experience - Admin - Logistics Functional Level Responsibilities : - Ensure manpower requirements of units are identified and closed within targeted timelines. - Implement induction and onboarding programs at the organizational and team levels. - Support managers to have effective performance conversations and ensure continuous feedback mechanisms. - Assess engagement levels and identify focus areas for the HR team, managers and the leadership team. Support each stakeholder with designing and implementing next steps to improve engagement levels. - Implement existing policies, while identifying areas that may require the need for clear guidelines/policies and designing and implementing the same. - Champion and drive core values across the organization along with the Leadership Team and managers. - Conduct training needs analysis to design and implement required training objectives. - Ensure 100% completion of performance conversations. Assess effectiveness of conversations and provide training or support to improve effectiveness where required. - Supervise payroll processing and ensure all statutory requirements are met by the organization. Also, represent the organization in internal and external audits relevant to the function.
