This role is for an Analyst in Counterparty Credit Infrastructure & Capital CCIC, based in Mumbai. CCIC is creating a new offshore center, and as such, this is a newly created role. The role reports into the head of CCIC Mumbai locally and functionally to the head of CCIC Asia in Hong Kong. Responsibilities : - Work with CCIC Asia in Hong Kong, to help with all aspects of counterparty credit risk management for the Asia Pacific region. Build up subject matter expertise and support a number of the following areas of CCIC work : - Exposure Analysis : Work with Credit Officers on pre-trade exposure analysis and appropriate credit mitigation strategies for complex or large bilateral derivative transactions. Partner with Credit to identify trends/themes and improve understanding and management of key counterparty credit risks in the Asia pacific portfolios, developing new risk frameworks and support regular / bespoke deep-dive analysis for senior risk management - Infrastructure & Stress : Ongoing quality assurance and explains/analysis of Gauss exposure results and transaction pricing accuracy; Work closely with the business, QR and AD for enhancing Peak/SRE exposure methodology and implementation for new products/transactions; build up expertise on Asia specific aspects on stress testing, wrong-way risk and contingent risk sensitivities - Communicate effectively to multiple levels of management and various stakeholders in Credit Risk, Gauss, Credit Risk Technology, QR and Operations on counterparty risk management, control gaps, projects, and automation of existing processes, issue resolutions etc. and provide recommendations. - Close interaction and partnership with other areas of Credit Risk, both in primary locations and locally - Credit Analysts/Officers, Collateral Risk/SIMM team, CRSM etc. Qualification : - Significant relevant experience of risk management or related discipline in a top tier peer bank - Very strong quantitative and analytical skills, with at least degree level education - Some familiarity with derivative products, including ideally some understanding of risk aspects such as credit exposure or stress testing - Excellent partnership and team management skills - Strong organizational, control, project management, communication and negotiation skills - Very detailed oriented; at the same time, being able to think holistically, creatively and critical.
