JP Morgan Chase - Vice President - Software Engineering - Python/UI/FX (10-15 yrs)

Successful candidates will be joining the Investment Bank's FX Options Technology team, a group of application developers responsible for evolution and support of the Athena platform for the FX Options business.

The team numbers 15 engineers across the NA, EMEA and APAC regions, to which we will be adding a presence in Mumbai.

The role will involve close collaboration with business partners and established team members in Singapore and London to curate a wide range of business processes and new initiatives.

Key areas of focus are:

- Deal management and life cycle,

- UI tools for front office and middle office,

- P&L processes,

- Market data management,

- E-trading activities,

- Business controls, and

- Regulatory reporting.

The technology stack comprises a dozen desktop applications, and hundreds of server processes, mainly written in Python.

Over the next three years, the role is expected to evolve under the \"One Athena\" programme, an initiative aiming to modernize and harmonize the Athena platform across multiple lines of business, yielding responsibilities for:

- Development of second generation UI tools,

- Modernization of the business' risk reporting infrastructure, and

- Deal model standardization.

- The role requires strong Python skills, and ideally experience of HTML5, JavaScript and TypeScript; experience in Java will also be well-received.

- The candidate must have a solid understanding of RDBMS systems, and ideally experience with NoSQL systems.

- More experienced applicants will be expected to display domain knowledge of FX derivatives, trade management systems, P&L processes and risk computation.

- The role requires top-tier organizational and communication skills, and preferably experience collaborating with partners in front-office, middle office, business management and quantitative teams.

Applicants will be expected to own multiple initiatives in parallel, to manage competing priorities transparently, and to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and technology management
