Network Management Network Management is a central function within the CIB Digital &amp; Platform Services organization responsible for managing the J.P. Morgan's Lines of Business ("LOBs") relationships with their network of local market participants and market infrastructures. These critical providers include Financial Market Infrastructures ("FMIs") (payment systems, central counterparties (CCPs), and check clearing systems) and Agent Banks (cash correspondents, partners, and clearing banks). With over 180 resources, the Network Management team is primarily located in London, Bournemouth, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai to provide coverage of markets and selected clients. While the group resides within the CIB, it supports all J.P. Morgan's lines of business including Corporate &amp; Investment Bank (Global Markets; Securities Services; Wholesale Payments), Asset &amp; Wealth Management, Commercial Bank and Consumer &amp; Community Banking. Network Management Group is responsible for selection and management of the network of Financial Market Infrastructures and Agent Banks used by the firm and the oversight of how the businesses engage with these utilities. Network Controls: The Network Management Controls Office is a 1st LOD (line of defense) function responsible for facilitating key control activities for Network Management. Control team is currently split between Bournemouth, London and New York. Key objective of control team is to ensure that Network Management can operate efficiently and effectively in line with the firm's operational risk framework and principles and in compliance with firm's regulatory requirements. The key activities covered by the Controls Office include (but not limited to): - Implementing the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation ("CORE") framework, which defines how control weaknesses and vulnerabilities in a business should be recorded for remediation - Facilitating the early identification and escalation of control issues and ensuring a timely and appropriate resolution; Consistent and accurate view of risk and controls across Network Management - Addressing regulatory and compliance issues and supporting the responses to regulatory and internal/external audit requests - Lead and manage major control programs eg. Control Manager will be responsible for: - Implementing the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation ("CORE") framework and associated metrics for Network Management, CASS and UK Outsourcing function - Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols - Develop, review and analyze program related data (eg KPI.KRI) to support to support business related programs and strategies - Provide leadership and support for the end to end execution of risk evaluation including control breaks and its resolution, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure and reputational risk - Engage with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions - Supporting LOB's and clients on audit requirements (eg UK Client Money, 17F2 &amp; SAS 70 control standards) - Preparation and management of Network Management Control Meeting materials ; submission of controls updates to Network Steering Committee and various program / governance groups Qualifications / required experience - 7+ years of related experience within the financial industry - Project management experience - Able to successfully operate across regions, businesses and functions with strong influencing and relationship management skills - Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities - Proven ability to work across multiple teams and operate effectively in a global organization - Proven leadership ability with senior stakeholders - Comfortable navigating through uncertainty and driving to create clarity and consensus, with the ability to creatively propose and syndicate solutions for complex problems - Pragmatic management of competing business and regulatory demands - Intellectual curiosity, able to manage with facts and detail - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong Excel /data experience required - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Skills - Business knowledge - ability to understand the business / knowledge of regulation surrounding business - Communication/presentation - excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner - Excellent Project management skills - Excellent PowerPoint presentation skills - Networking - exceptional interpersonal skills; exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills with individuals of all levels - Work autonomously to affect change - flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment - Result Oriented - Drive results through leadership, people, communication and influence.
