Financial Analysis_VP Description: Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined LOB-aligned (Line of Business-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital. GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. As a Financial Analysis Vice President in the Global Real Estate team, you will be responsible for strategic financial reporting and analysis and advising CFOs on how to control expenses and increase efficiencies. About the Role: - Financial Analysis is responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies. - You will be responsible for expense modelling, where you will be expected to deliver value-added financial reporting and analysis and assist with strategic direction and decision making. You will be expected to provide leadership across the FP&A team, and interact regularly with the FP&A Managers, the line of business CFOs and peers across Finance & Business Management and the business. Responsibilities : In a Financial Analysis role, you would be responsible for managing a team to collectively execute on the following : - Financial budgeting, reporting, portfolio strategy tracking, forecasting and analysis including, but not limited to GRE utilities, sub-tenant accounting, and occupancy allocations - Supporting the process to deliver month-end results, the forecast for the remainder of the year, and the budget for future years - Performing variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and presenting commentary to FP&A managers and line of business CFOs explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets - Supporting execution, upload, and reporting support for occupancy allocations - Completing Transaction Funding Financial Analysis for business cases supporting business initiatives - Evaluating prospective real estate initiatives involving ownership/leasing, capital investment and occupancy strategies associated with JPMC's corporate real estate portfolio - Performing thoughtful due diligence and underwriting of real estate transactions and ensure compliance to US GAAP and JPMC accounting policies (incl. balance sheet, income statement, cash view) - Preparing business case analyses for: new leases, lease renewals, stay vs. relocate, lease vs. buy, new developments, dispositions, and large multi-year investment strategies - Overseeing headcount reporting and analysis support process coordinating resource optimization projects, the preparation of monthly headcount reports, supporting other Workforce Strategy partners on all resource management related questions, as well as driving key initiatives through working closely with the key stakeholders - Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management - Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible - Managing a team to deliver high-quality performance, creating an inclusive environment, and supporting career and skills development Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature - 8-10+ years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller background (Real Estate finance experience preferred) - Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint - Experience with financial modelling and forecasting - Experience with financial systems preferred (EssBase, SAP) - Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers - Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly - Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines - Integrity in handling highly sensitive and confidential information - Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and FP&A Teams - Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills - Experience managing a team and highly effective individuals - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyse large data sets and present conclusions concisely - Ability to handle numerous deliverables simultaneously, many with critical deadlines.; candidate must be comfortable with frequently changing priorities JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
