- This role will be to leading the APAC Country Risk middle office function which sits independently of Country Risk Management. - Country Risk Middle Office facilitates data governance and prioritizes issues through the Risk Data Quality Management Program. - It validates data accuracy and integrity in support of risk reporting processes and identifies data issues within reporting processes and raises items through the Data Quality Analysis Framework. - In addition to direct responsibility for the Country Risk Middle Office team, the candidate will also be the local Bangalore Team lead across Country Risk Reporting, Principal Risk Reporting and Middle Office and Model Risk Reporting. - The candidate should be able to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to influence people in a matrix reporting relationship. Responsibilities: Functional Responsibilities - Ensure timely and accurate capture of country risk data - Provide regional managerial oversight across APAC Country Risk MO/Reporting, Model &amp; Principal Risk reporting &amp; MO functions. Hub Governance &amp; Administration - Establish and manage governance around key review meetings, and support the India leadership team in driving location agenda - Develop key MIS &amp; Executive Reporting and drive standardization across processes Location Strategy and People Leadership - Foster an environment of collaboration, information sharing, and discussion to breakdown silos, create synergies and share best practices across groups such as Principal Risk MO, Model Risk reporting &amp; Country Risk reporting - Provide local leadership for the above teams and act as the local oversight manager Essential skills, experience, and qualifications: - Strong communication skills - Ability to handle difficult conversation - Experience in VBA/Excel automation - Strong knowledge and keen interest in financial markets - Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with at least degree level education - Ability to work independently in highly demanding environments - Excellent partnership and team management skills, with ability to work closely with the various Risk and business/functional teams and provide a single interface locally - Good understanding of the relevant Risk &amp; Regulatory environment - Strong organizational, control, project management, communication and negotiation skills - CFA or FRM certification is a plus
