Business Overview: Client Tax Operations Utility

The Client Tax Operations Utility's primary responsibility is to maximize the client experience and comply with tax regulations globally by facilitating the collection of valid client tax documentation, the application of withholding tax and refunds and the submission of regulatory reporting. This is a dynamic function requiring consistent compliance and controls, enhanced response to regulatory and market changes and operational excellence in our business processes and technology.

Corporate & Investment Bank "CIB"

The CIB is a global leader across banking, markets and investor services. The world's most important corporations, governments and institutions entrust the CIB with their business in more than 100 countries. Commercial Bank "CB"

The CB serves more than 30,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. The Firm's broad platform positions the Commercial Bank to deliver extensive product capabilities - lending, treasury services, investment banking, and asset management - to meet our clients' domestic and international financial needs.

Consumer & Community Bank "CCB"

This is a high-risk organization with diverse market procedures, a significant change agenda and complex market/regulatory requirements.

Job Description

The Tax Specialist will be responsible for execution of the key business objectives, processes and managing business risks for key client/partner relationships across the Corporate & Investment Bank.

This position is an opportunity for a suitably experienced candidate to join a dynamic organization and gain exposure to businesses and colleague's firmwide.

The successful candidates key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Initiating tax reclaim applications on behalf of clients

- Working with partners in the UK to assemble supporting documentation requirements

- Updating the core processing applications with transaction statuses

- Updating and presenting key metric information to management

- Responding to enquiries from client-facing staff

- Ensuring 100% accuracy in processing daily deliverables

- Continually suggest improvements to enhance the process and reduce manual intervention

Qualifications:

- You must have a relevant Degree qualified and/or equivalent industry experience

- You must be able to demonstrate strong administration and organization skills

- You must be able to demonstrate acute attention to detail

- You must be enthusiastic and articulate, who possesses good communication skills

- You must be able to demonstrate an awareness of risk and control

- You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a dynamic environment with conflicting priorities

- You must be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills to review evolving market practices, assess oversight metrics and results, and identify trends.

- You will be able to give examples of your problem solving skills and experiences

Desirables:

- Degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience

- IOC, ATT or other industry related benchmark qualification
