Overview :

CTC Risk manages risk of the retained portfolio generated by Chief Investment Office, Global Treasury, and Corporate businesses (Firm-wide Pension Plan, Insurance programs, and Mortgage Servicing Rights). The CTC Chief Risk Officer (CRO) reports to the Firm-wide CRO and is responsible for end to end risk framework within the CTC LOB; including, but not limited to, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Reputation Risk, Country Risk, Principal Risk, and Model Risk.

Description :

CTC seeks to hire a risk professional to join its Credit Risk function. This individual will participate in risk related matters, including completing risk analysis of CIO's existing and new investments in credit assets: emerging and developed market securities including sovereign bonds, corporates and munis. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with risk management professionals, in an area of the Firm that covers spectrum of asset classes & financial products.

Specific responsibilities include :

- Perform credit due diligence on an investment, including but not limited to financial analysis, peer comparison and credit risk issues in the transaction

- Ad hoc analysis and conducting stress tests on the portfolio, as required

- Deep diving on specific products to back up senior colleagues on risk discussions

- Build knowledge on allocated sectors and track the sector developments on an on-going basis

- Maintain updated credit research on assigned portfolio

- Understanding and monitoring risk profile of transactions and strategies undertaken by the CTC businesses

- Engage with senior members of CTC Credit Risk, portfolio managers and traders to complete risk analysis of existing and new investments in credit assets

Required Skills & Experience :

- MBA from a top tier school or professional qualification in Accountancy; excellent academic record

- Understanding of the company's financial statements, including ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and basic accounting standards

- Strong quantitative and analytical background; able to deep dive into portfolio and produce reviews highlighting key risks

- Experience in credit or market risk management, preferably with a wide range of experience with quantitative, financial and risk management techniques and systems preferred

- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Power Point

- Ability to work under pressure

- Strong critical thinking skills, with thorough attention to detail

- Good communication skills, both oral and written

- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with risk colleagues
