Department description: J.P. Morgan's APAC Mergers &amp; Acquisitions (M&amp;A) team is part of the APAC Investment Banking franchise. The business is a key player in advising corporations and institutions of all sizes on their most complex strategic needs, in their home markets in Asia as well as around the world. The team partners with colleagues in coverage and industry teams to originate and execute the full range of transactions including buy-sides and sell-sides, mergers, defense, fairness opinion and valuation advice. Job description: The candidate will be part of the APAC M&amp;A Business Management team within the Finance &amp; Business Management (F&amp;BM) department of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). The role aims to be a trusted advisor in all aspects of APAC M&amp;A business including strategy, people agenda, financial and competitor performance, technology and controls. The role involves working very closely and partnering with the M&amp;A business and the various control and support functions in (a) assisting the business to achieve its immediate, short, medium and long term objectives, (b) making sure the business is aligned with control and support functions (such as Legal, Compliance, Operations, HR, Audit, Technology, etc.) and the associated requirements and (c) ensuring the business is in compliance with the appropriate corporate objectives and policies. This is a regional role based in India. Responsibilities: - Act as trusted advisor to Business Heads and the team - Identification, facilitation and pursuance of business objectives and opportunities - Facilitate business reviews, resources analysis and budgetary process - Assist with the definition and implementation of cross-regional processes and procedures, reflecting risks and control requirements as well as regional nuances - Oversee expenses management - Analyze and report key trends and themes for senior audiences - Produce strategic and financial presentations for management meetings and business reviews - Financial projects including forecasting, revenue reconciliation, balance sheet reviews, among others - Work with the Planning and Analysis, Controllers, Strategy and central teams to support accurate business analytics, financials and forecasts - Assist manager to lead offsite planning/preparation, training and other initiatives - Work closely with NA and EMEA counterparts, and Business Managers in other Corporate Finance and Markets businesses - Oversee and improve the Asia Fairness Opinion and Valuation Committee process - Own dealogic, Thomson Reuters and Bloomberg relationship for M&amp;A product - Any other day to day issues involving M&amp;A - Ad-hoc requests and special projects Qualifications: - Ability to work independently and under pressure in a very dynamic environment, with an attention to detail, an eye for spotting trends, articulate in written and verbal communication who is able to present and support their own conclusions to senior audiences - Promote partnership by cultivating trust, fostering a shared purpose and strong relationship across teams, businesses, functions, regions and levels - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - A thorough understanding and appreciation of risks and controls - Excellent project management and organizational skills - An ability to build relationships and influence others, across multiple disciplines and across levels of seniority - An ability to navigate ambiguity and intensity - Must be proactive with a drive to better processes and resolve outstanding issues - Proactive, diligent and strong work ethic - A self-starter with an excellent attitude, motivation and an ability to learn quickly - An ability to multi-task and dynamically prioritize and adapt in the face of ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands - Understanding of Investment Banking, and/or M&amp;A systems and processes (preferred) JPMorgan Chase &amp; Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
