Morgan Custody - global leader with $24 trillion in assets under custody, provides Institutional investors access to markets worldwide for the settlement, safekeeping and asset servicing of securities, along with ancillary services such as Foreign Exchange and Liquidity Solutions. The Global Custody (GC) Product Management function is global, with regional management across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. The team is responsible for the end to end ownership of business delivery, product strategy, P&L, and governance of the Custody business. Position Summary : - The primary focus of the role will be to engage closely with business stakeholders to lead business and data analysis work to define new products and support existing product offering to maximize revenue and profitability of the business. As a member of GC Core Product team within Product Management function, you will dive head-first into investigating solutions to dynamic business problems using data analysis. - The deliverables would be key to achieve evolving Global product strategy roadmap. End to end ownership is critical, this role will require working in close partnership with operations, legal, compliance, technology and all the support units across the bank to ensure the business is operating at its maximum efficiency levels. This Global role is based out of Mumbai and part of the overall Securities Services set up. Roles & Responsibilities : - Business Analysis : Identify business needs by understanding current business product offering, E2E system architecture and operating model to analyse and remediate business problems or issues. - Data Analysis : Understand business problems and deliver data insights to aid in business decision making. Identify different data source, synthesize data sets to streamlined, clear and actionable messages. Work on setting up periodic client/ business efficiency metrics (manual processing, repairs etc). - Business cost drivers : Lead analysis to identify key business cost drivers and solutions to reduce cost and optimize business efficiency. Regular reporting to senior management on key cost drivers - markets, agents, clients etc. - Product Documentation : Lead and own periodic review of product documents (Service directory), product definitions, and product policies to maintain up-to-date versions of the business documents at all times. - Client Deals : Engage in building client pricing models for new and existing clients. Build pricing model with healthy revenue-cost ratio for client to align with broader business objectives. This includes working on re-prices, RFPs/ RFIs. - Value added : Support in driving operating margin optimization programs/ projects in line with strategic business goals. Partner with stakeholders to deliver client change agenda and deliver on multiple 'business as usual' projects and business enablement initiatives. - Communication : Maintain regular and proactive value-added contact with Global stakeholders while working on a deliverable. Capture of meeting minutes and follow up on actions to ensure completion. Preparation of meeting PowerPoint deck as required and generating program, initiative and milestone reporting Requirements : - 3-6 years of relevant work experience - Sound academic record; Degree holder in Engineering/Management related disciplines are preferable - Analytical skills, problem solving and good critical thinking skills based upon fact and business/industry knowledge. - Well organized with attention to detail and a motivated self-starter who drives business results. - Able to demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to develop and maintain collaborative relationships. - Strong time management skills, with an ability to multitask and work under pressure. - Ability to demonstrate inclusion of risk and control parameters in daily activities - Willingness to work in a Global delivery team with meetings scheduled to cater for WHEM, EMEA and ANZ audiences. - Knowledge of the products in Securities Services as well as Corporate and Investment Bank products would be an added advantage. - Experience in operations, product management or client service organisation in banking industry would be ideal, otherwise a demonstrable understanding of the core concepts of product management is required. - Strong skills in using Microsoft Office, Tableau, Alteryx, amongst other tools to communicate and present.
