Business Overview :

Valuation Control Group (VCG) is organized along business lines including Corporate & Investment Bank (Macro Products, Credit, Equities, Securitized Products, IB Risk), CIO, Treasury & Corporate (CTC), Asset Management, Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) and Commercial Banking (CB). Clients of the group include senior management, business heads, regulators, and both internal and external audit. The group also works closely with the Traders, CFOs, Market Risk, and Middle Office to ensure a complete understanding of business issues and the accurate execution of valuation policy.

Function Overview : The VCG Team in India is looking to hire Executive Director (604) to lead multiple asset class coverage team out of India. The asset classes covered from India are :

Rates, Equities, Credit, Commodities, Currencies & Emerging Markets, Securitized Products, Collateral, Mortgage Banking, CVA/DVA/FVA

Core Responsibilities :

- Lead a team of technical experts spanning one or more asset classes

- Ensure deliverables of all daily/monthly price testing and valuation adjustment calculations in a timely manner

- Continue to build on the - Equal Partner model setup within VCG in JP Morgan where the team in India is end to end owner of the numbers produced and also can manage communication/query resolution with the trading desks and other counterparts within the firm

- Establish a strong control environment and ensure adherence to the same

- Drive efficiency and technology related agenda in order to improve the processes and enhance controls

- Partner with the Global and Local management in executing the location strategy of the firm

- Lead internal and external audit interaction and regulatory relationships as needed

Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of valuation of financial products - understanding of products across asset class will be a plus

- Total Experience of 12+ years in Financial industry

- Proven track record of managing technical teams (20+ people) - Part record of managing managers will be a plus

- Strategic thinking with a proven track record of executing Firmwide global projects/strategic initiatives

- Good appreciation of technology and efficiency tools will be a plus

- Ability to understand complex products, and analyze transaction and process flows

- Analytical and quantitative aptitude. Candidates with quantitative backgrounds preferred

- Strong verbal and written communications skills
