JP Morgan Chase - Executive Director - Technology Lead - International Private Bank Brokerage Technologies (10-15 yrs)

International Private Bank (IPB) Technology is seeking to hire a Technology Leader in India for its Brokerage function.

As a Technology lead, you will be responsible for setting strategy, driving and managing the technical delivery of key projects that are owned and driven by the team in the region, but delivering for the business globally. You will be part of a dynamic team that will work closely with product owners co-located in the same location, as well as interact globally with business stakeholders, product owners and other application developers at all levels of the organization.

As an experienced Software Engineer Leader, your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run. Your deep knowledge of design, development, coding, testing and application programming will help your team raise their game, meeting your standards, as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements. Your expertise in various technology domains will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally. Your quest to embracing leading-edge technologies and methodologies inspires your team to follow suit. And best of all, you'll be able to harness massive amounts of brainpower through our global network of technologists from around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review business strategy; define technology vision and objectives.

- Ensure epics and stories provided by business, product owners or business analysts are turned into technical designs and development.

- Define design and architecture for all solutions built as part of the project with particular focus on developing a sustainable DevOps model.

- Manage and oversee the contributions of other developers in the team

- Accountable of the code produced by the team: from code quality, test coverage and track record of compliance to cyber security standards.

- Set coding standards/ best practices within the team.

- Work closely with program manager/product owner on grooming stories, backlog prioritization and tracking and communicating progress.

- Face off to and manage business and technology stakeholders across the organization, including front-office business, product owners, other technology teams and technology/business management.

- Follow and promote Agile practices like Scrum and TDD/BDD

- Ensure consistency with and synergy across the global platform by collaborating regularly with peers.

Must have skills

10-15 years of practical experience with:

- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

- Advanced knowledge of Distributed Architectures, Domain-Driven Design, and Microservices

- Ability to work collaboratively and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals

- Experienced in Scrum and Agile Methodologies

- Experienced in IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service), AWS, and scalable architectures

- Experienced in Java, Spring, Relational Databases, TDD, and Cloud Native Application Development

- Experience in Machine Learning and Big Data is a plus

- Good understanding of design and development patterns and anti-patterns

- Ability to drive the quality coding and hands on experience with tools such as Sonar, Checkstyle, PMD, FindBugs.

- Knowledge on front end technologies like React JS, Angular JS, webpack, node js would be desirable

- Team lead / management experience essential.

- Strong problem solving & analytical skills

- Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
