The position supports all lines of business across the India GSC. Responsibilities include:  - Handling civil litigation matters (directly and through outside counsel);  - Advising on any issues relating to claims of discrimination, sexual harassment or retaliation;   - Advising on issues such as compensation, benefits, performance management, training, staffing; discipline and discrimination/harassment;  - Guiding/leading employee investigations, including police-related matters;  - Drafting and reviewing HR policies, agreements and other legal documentation;  - Monitoring developments in laws and regulations;  - Training HR and business managers on best practices;  - Managing employment law aspects of projects.  Qualifications :   Required :   Qualified/licensed lawyer with 7-10 years of recent employment advisory and employment litigation experience; advice and counseling experience in a major law firm, large multi-national corporation or equivalent;  - Experience handling a full range of labor and employment issues in India;   - Excellent oral and written English communication skills;  - Strong organizational/project management skills, ability to handle high volume and balance competing demands;  - Ability to develop and maintain solid client relationships and to influence decision makers at all levels;   - Confidence and experience translating complex legal concepts into practical solutions to guide HR professionals and business people;  - Ability to work successfully in a matrixed, team environment;  - Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.  Preferred :   - Knowledge of employee benefits and tax/social insurance issues  - Knowledge of current employment-related regulatory requirements relating to multi-national financial institutions and BPOs;  - Employment law experience with large financial services institutions;   - In-house employment law experience
