Firmwide Risk Management is overseen and managed on an enterprise-wide basis. The Firm's risk management governance and oversight framework involves understanding drivers of risks, types of risks, and impacts of risks.

As a Wholesale Risk CDO Associate the ideal candidate will contribute to the delivery of strategic initiatives across both the Risk CDO organization and Firmwide Data Management. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Responsible for governance and implementation of Data Risk Management policy.

- Managing of Data Risks assessed across the firm including Data Governance, Quality, Use, Storage, Retention and Destruction, and Protection.

- Responsible for description of Data (i.e., metadata) and associated tracking of those descriptions. Data must be classified to the extent necessary to enable risk mitigation and performance of the requirements of the Data Risk Management Policy.

- Supporting the Data Management effort, in partnership with technology, through data-centric analysis of Data stores, Wholesale Risk applications and related data flows

- Helping define Wholesale Risk CDO procedures to adhere to the Data Risk Management Policy and Standards

- Maintaining strong working relationships with Risk Management, line of business partners, other CDO groups, Data Owners (DO's), Operations and Reporting, facilitating effective communication, and working in teams to assess needs, understand regulatory requirements and execute the team agenda.

- Defining and driving operational improvements in the team's Data Risk Management functions

- Data Risks Controls Management. Maintain best practices for data controls, work with Risk Controllers on analyzing existing controls and implementing additional controls to monitor data risks and potential issues.

Experience :

- Finance related Bachelor's degree required

- 3-6 years of demonstrated leadership; experience in Business analysis / Data management / Project management/ Market Risk or Wholesale Credit Risk management or middle office

- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills; analyzing data with respect to corresponding business and technology processes

- Data quality and data controls management

- software/application development experience a plus

Communication / Influence :

- Excellent ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge, and confidently speak about these processes

- A developed leadership presence capable of effective messaging of complex systems and processes to junior team members and upper management alike

- Proven ability to work across diverse groups, build consensus and execute the agreed plans

Soft Skills :

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently in a flexible, fast paced environment

- Highly responsible and able to work with tight deadlines

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; sound and independent judgment

- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective credible relationships with business and technology partners

Technical :

- Experience with Risk technology tools and applications

- Understanding of data modeling standards

- Overall strong desktop skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Office applications

- Understanding of concepts and hands-on experience working with relational databases, SQL, and Business Intelligence tools; experience with tools such as Qlikview, Alteryx helpful
