Responsibilities:


- Understand Credit Ecosystem - Tools & Applications, Policies, Procedures, Guidelines required to Underwrite new term loans and perform the Credit Analysis of Real Estate Borrowers


- Independently prepare credit analysis on Real Estate Borrowers (qualitative and quantitative analysis) and recommend rating grades


- Appraise and execute new term loan requests from Client Managers and prepare approval memos within the stipulated timelines. Ensure documentation requirements are met per the business and audit requirements


- Understand nuances of the new term loan requests and identify any inconsistencies or risks associated with them


- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively present analysis and build strong relationships with stakeholders


- Understand and respond to the queries raised by Credit Risk Director, Senior Underwriter, Audit, etc.


- Be current on the firm-wide risk policies, procedures & guidelines, and ensure all governance, reporting and data quality requirements are met and maintained


Qualifications: MBA (with Finance specialization) / CA


- 4-7 years of experience in credit risk; experience in real estate sector is preferred


- Strong understanding of corporate finance and financial statements, including ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and basic accounting principles


- Attitude and aptitude to learn and enhance knowledge of credit underwriting; and passion for real estate sector


- Deadline orientation; strong attention to detail and high accuracy
