The firm is a leader in investment banking, financial services for consumers, small business and commercial banking, financial transaction processing and asset management. - The Wholesale Credit Strategy team is a division of Corporate Risk, responsible for reshaping the end-to-end Credit experience across the firm's Wholesale business units (Corporate and Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, Asset Wealth Management and Business Banking). - The team drives Wholesale Credit transformation initiatives and develops solutions to deliver operational efficiencies, better decision making and improved controls across risk management processes. Focusing on both emerging regulations and developed credit risk issues, the team conceptualizes and designs new products, reengineers existing products and drives strategic changes to business processes. - The team is comprised of motivated, forward thinking and high-talent individuals with a singular focus of delivering innovative solutions. The position will work across all Wholesale lines of business and partner closely with stakeholders in Credit Risk Management, Corporate Technology, Finance, Model Research and Development, Reporting and Wholesale Loan Operations. ROLE SUMMARY - The team is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team and work as an Associate Business Analyst. The position will initially be an integral member of a strategy and execution team driving the firm's Wholesale financial program with primary objectives: - Establish an authoritative data repository for financial data across all Wholesale business units - Design a strategic financial spreading application integrated with the firms core credit and regulatory platforms to provide a unified spreading solution for all Wholesale business units - Automate the distribution of financial data to consuming processes and applications - Implement an effective governance model for managing Wholesale client financial data - Increase operational efficiencies through technology automation, offshore centers of excellence and system integrations The Associate Business Analyst will: - Take ownership of managing a strategic regulatory reporting process E2E. Plan, manage and coordinate a recurring quarterly process - Perform data analysis, complex data reconciliation, reference data lookup, etc - Provide excellent customer service and production support, analyzing issues, developing solutions and responding in a timely manner - Design and executive progress reports, deliver communications on regular basis and follow up on open issues - Facilitate retrospective discussion with stakeholders and identify improvement opportunities Document business requirements and enhancements to the firm's strategic financial platform - Develop detailed specifications to translate business requirements into user stories for technology and application development - Participate in quality assurance and user acceptance testing of product enhancements, including testing of functional and non-functional requirements - Prepare and develop materials used in working groups with broad representation of stakeholders across the Wholesale LOBs - Contribute to the product roadmap and prioritization of key functionality required by users and downstream data consumers - Create documentation to support new functionalities, enhancements (user guides, procedure documents, guidelines and training material) QUALIFICATION / SKILLS : - Bachelors or higher degree - 2-5 years of business analysis experience - Requires strong documentation skills with superior attention to detail - Requires strong interpersonal skills to contribute in a team environment across departments, locations and multiple time zones - Requires effective verbal and communication skills with ability to present to large working groups over telepresence - Applications must demonstrate proficiency in MSFT Excel and use of advanced data manipulation functions, including PIVOT, VLOOKUP, Macros and VBA - Applicants must demonstrate advanced knowledge of business presentation tools, including MSFT PowerPoint and MSFT VISIO or comparable tools - Requires experience with SQL, including SQL Developer - Applicants must be self-motivated and willing to pro-actively educate themselves in search of the best solutions - Ability to grasp large amounts of information, and a curiosity to ask appropriate questions to fully develop business and functional requirements - Preferred experience providing Production Support for software applications post-implementation - Preferred experience performing application testing (QA, SIT, UAT) - Preferred experience with AGILE methodologies, JIRA, and producing user stories - Preferred experience with software development and/or product development lifecycle
