Description :


The CCB Regulatory Operations Business Management Integration Reporting and Analytics is leading a transformation of how we report and analyze information across all CCB businesses and functions. The activities of this team include developing interactive dashboards, analyzing cross line of business relationships and impacts, and analyzing consumer behaviors and the impacts to our business.


Within this organization, the centralized reporting team employ data visualization techniques to navigate the storyline, generate the right insights, and develop data-centric reporting solutions to answer questions quickly. The team partners closely with regulatory operations leadership, senior management, and subject matter experts across CCB to ensure successful implementation of tactical and strategic change efforts.

The Business Analyst I will support Legal & Regulatory Control Operations reporting needs and the centralized Regulatory Operations MIS Organization. This includes but is not limited to building and maintaining reporting inventory, documentation, testing, maintenance of centralized work requests, intake book of work and process oversight. The position also has responsibility for automating the data gathering and generation of operational reports across a line of business or functional area.

As a BMIRA Associate, you will make a meaningful impact by :

- Building solutions using a combination of Alteryx, Tableau, SAS, SQL to support regulatory change control and the centralized MIS reporting requirements

- Enhancements to current, \"Run the Business\" reporting suite, control reports, exception reports and key business metrics reporting to make processes more efficient and streamlined

- Help solve production break fixes and distribute reports to internal and external audiences

- Working with Regulatory Operations business and control partners to recommend solution for solving complex business challenges

- Conducting daily activities including daily ETL processes from various sources for the Production Support and monitoring function

- Managing, supporting and streamlining the centralized intake/ triage process and sequence important initiatives through Inventory Request Management application

- Managing, supporting and introducing regulatory control activities for centralized change management function

- Successful implementation of governance controls, QA peer review, post-validation testing and tactical data-centric reporting solutions

- Developing repeatable solutions for automated and control testing of regulatory controls and reporting solutions.

- Delivering monitoring and testing activities and documentation from governance standards perspective

Key Qualifications :

- 8+ years of professional experience in a combination of business, data analytics, relevant MIS + visualization, data wrangling, process improvements, data strategy role and/or business consulting within a major corporation

- Some level of business operations and procedure experience along with the ability to tie into business fundamentals

- Must have first-hand knowledge of how to source data from multiple locations, integrate them together, and provide usable information for reporting and analysis

- Prior experience in reporting, testing and data analysis development with ability to meet stringent deadlines

- Prior experience with governance controls, tableau and Alteryx server for end to end automation is desired

- Self-starter who can provide thought leadership and drive results in a dynamic and fast evolving environment

- Stay updated of new tools and technologies to assist the team in creating the most efficient and effective data strategies.

- Communicate technical solutions to ensure the controls are well understood and incorporated into data & analytics processes

Technology Experience :

- Required - 6+ years of Tableau (e.g. data visualization) or Alteryx (e.g. data wrangling) experience. Similar tools or knowledge may suffice (Qlikview, Cognos, SQL knowledge, SAS)

- Required - Sourcing and compiling data from a tool with ETL capabilities (examples include but not limited to Alteryx, SAS, SQL, Python)

- Required - Excellent Oral and written communication skills

- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related Master's Degree is a plus

- Preferred - Creating and deploying reports with a ETL and BI tool (examples include but not limited to Alteryx and Tableau)

- Preferred - Python or R Programming experience, is a plus

- Preferred - familiarity with database structure supporting Mortgage, Card, Auto and Consumer Bank.
