This role provides critical support to the India GSC to ensure adherence with the local laws and regulations.

The position requires the individual to help the firm comply with relevant regulations, issue identification, assessing the impact of regulatory changes and working with Corporate Function teams, Compliance, Legal, HRSD, Finance and LOBs to build and establish controls to maintain compliance with laws and regulations

Job Description :

- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to :

i. Department of Telecommunication(DoT) Regulations,

ii. Labor Law Regulations - Provident Fund Principle employer liabilities

iii. Function Specific Trade Licenses

- Applying for DoT licenses and renewals

- Managing Registration of Other Service Provider (OSP) sites with DoT - renewal for existing licenses/ approvals and site expansion licenses

- Ongoing filings for DoT, tracking regulatory developments in DoT and other related regulations

- Identifying new laws, regulations, notifications and circulars issued by the govt. (central + state specific) that may apply to the entity

- Driving/tracking implementation within the organization, publishing and maintaining MIS for tracking open issues to closure

- Manage and track regulatory inspections (DoT specifically) to closure and relationships

- Maintaining master guidelines document covering Legal and Compliance advisory on DoT projects/ requirements

- Timely communication of Infrastructure changes & updates to DOT, Tracking of Bank guarantees

- Being responsible for DOT licensing and compliances updation in the automated work flow

- Risk and controls evaluation of the process and data record audits

- Vendor co-ordination for monthly PF return filling

- Facing off with internal Compliance and Legal

- Researching on best practices and Market Intelligence

Qualifications :

- LLB/ CS /Technical / Masters Degree, with a min. 8 years work experience

- Superior communication skills and be able to work comfortably with business and management teams;

- Ability to interact and communicate effectively across levels;

- Competency in the use of technology, shared databases and on-line tools;

- Ability to identify and escalate issues timely and appropriately
