JP Morgan Chase - Analyst - Wholesale Credit Risk (1-3 yrs)
The team is comprised of credit officers, credit executives and Analysts and Associates (A&A- s). Mumbai based A&As are an integral part of APAC CIB Credit Risk team. Analysts are assigned a portfolio of clients with primary responsibility for performing ongoing credit analysis and client exposure management.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing creditworthiness of clients, performing financial analysis and recommending appropriate credit ratings
- Staying current on all aspects of the assigned credit portfolio, including industry trends, portfolio performance, compliance with covenants, potential risks and opportunities
- Preparing and presenting credit approval memos in connection with new transactions and reviews on existing client facilities
- Participating in client due diligence meetings
- Performing annual reviews by coordinating with middle office and business partners in a timely manner
- Monitoring, investigating and escalating risk metrics associated with client activity, including exposure control, covenants tracking, and collateral
- Leading ad hoc team projects
Qualifications :
- MBA from Top Tier B-School or professional qualification in Accountancy
Skills and Experience :
- 1-2 years relevant credit risk management experience.
- Ability to understand and analyze financial statements including ratio analysis, accounting standards and financial adjustments.
- Good knowledge of credit analysis process.
- Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work proactively & independently as well as part of a team
- Deadline orientation; organized and responsible; high attention-to-detail
- Highly motivated with a natural passion to learn and an inquisitive personality
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Power Point
