Model Risk Governance &amp; Review - Risk Strategy &amp; Execution - Associate Description The Model Risk Governance &amp; Review (MRGR) Risk Strategy &amp; Execution team partners with executive management to develop and execute on model risk management strategy and operating model improvements. The team is looking to hire an Associate to drive Firmwide model risk management initiatives (e.g. Firmwide Model Risk Pipeline, Model Review Process) and drive transformational change across the Model Risk Governance &amp; Review organization through improving operational efficiency and effectiveness, technology enhancements and organization structure to support executive decision making and regulatory mandates. The role is visible to senior management and offers the opportunity to work across all of JPMorgan Chase's business lines. To be successful in the role, the incumbent must plan, design, and successfully execute solutions that impact the business and deliver results though implementing risk management strategy and building operating model capabilities, while building strong relationships within and outside the Model Risk Governance &amp; Review organization. The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial thinker, team player, results driven and self-managing with strong attention to detail. Required Capabilities - Very strong critical and creative thinking skills with ability to synthesize complex data to develop business insights, fact base analysis and hypotheses to solve complex problems. - Ability to build consultative relationships with stakeholders including senior management, becoming a trusted partner for thinking strategically about the Model Risk Governance &amp; Review strategy and within the broader context of the overall JPMorganChase strategy - Very strong end-to-end project management skills from business case development through final implementation and project closure - Experience in delivering quality results in compressed timeframes and leading highly complex processes - Perform reporting and data analytics for large strategic projects in Model Risk management - Exceptional interpersonal leadership and influencing skills with ability to achieve goals without direct control over resources - Experience working with and influencing senior management to drive strategic decisions through conducting complex analysis, developing concise recommendations and preparing and delivering well designed presentations - Strong experience in analyzing and transforming operating models to improve efficiency and effectiveness through technology enhancements, process re-engineering, policy, governance and organization structure - Extensive experience in managing stakeholders, cross functional teams and integrating multiple business disciplines to implement developed comprehensive solutions Qualification - Bachelors or Master's degree in Finance/Business/Economics or in Computer/Information Systems/Financial Engineering - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus Skillset - 3-5 years of experience leading, designing and executing complex strategic initiatives spanning business lines within the financial services industry to drive large scale change - Experience in risk, finance and regulatory a plus - Strong MS Excel skills and VBA, experience in building macros is plus - Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, Visio, SharePoint would be great to have - Knowledge of MS-Access and SQL is a plus - Ability to identify process improvement opportunities to improve overall client experience - Demonstrated high level of performance evidenced through annual reviews, bonuses and recommendations
