Analyst J.P. Morgan's Global Knowledge Network Research (GKN Research) in Mumbai was set up in August 2003 as an extension of the firm's global equity research teams around the world. Since inception GKN Research has grown steadily and the team of analysts has expanded to provide coverage for the key sectors globally. Besides working with J.P. Morgan's equity research teams, the Researchers and Analysts in GKN Research are now engaged with other areas of public side research including credit research, strategy, credit derivatives, indices, commodity, derivatives and quant research. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic individual with strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability to assist in automation of various processes required for conducting research and work on FinTech projects oriented towards research. A successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive and flexible; possess keen attention to detail, have strong communication skills and an acute sense of urgency. Responsibilities - Conceptualize, design and develop automation processes like, but not limited to pulling data from various APIs and data-stores and present them in consumable format. - Ownership and documentation of automation processes in research; both existing and new. - Projects to improve data quality and operational efficiency. Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications - Detail oriented and analytical - Highly motivated team player with exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities - Experience in functional programming languages like Python and/or C++ is necessary - Experience in statistical tools like R - Experience or interest in Data Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing is a plus - Experience in front-end development frameworks like Django is a plus - Knowledge of automation tools like Selenium, AutoHotKeys is a plus - Knowledge of HTML, CSS, RSS feeds is a plus - Experience with the Software Development life cycle would be a plus - Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, VBA and other productivity tools - Problem-solving ability and general understanding of statistics - Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, and/or iOS JP Morgan's GKN provides a challenging work environment and excellent opportunities to learn and grow both at the GKN and in the Firm's global network.
