Group Description Chief Investment Office, Treasury and Corporate (CTC) Risk manages the risk of the retained portfolio generated from the Chief Investment Office (CIO), Global Treasury, and - other- Corporate businesses (Firm-wide Pension Plan, Insurance programs, and Mortgage Servicing Rights). Treasury manages the firm's capital, balance sheet, liquidity and funding strategy and positions, including short dated and secured funding, debt and capital issuance and buybacks, and liquidity risk management, as well as the company's rating agency relationships and corporate insurance activities. The CTC Chief Risk Officer (CRO) reports to the Firmwide CRO and is responsible for the end to end risk framework for the CTC line of business; including, but not limited to, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, Interest Rate Risk, Operational Risk, Pensions and BOLI COLI, Country Risk, Principal Risk, and Model Risk. CTC Risk is also responsible for Firmwide Liquidity Risk and Interest Rate Risk Management. Position Description : Liquidity Risk Oversight (LRO) seeks to hire an Analyst to join its Firmwide LRO function. The position offers the opportunity to participate in the ongoing governance and controls management for LRO. This includes providing day to day administration of our operating model and review of Legal Obligations (OLO). The team partners with a number of groups in the Firm, from Legal Entity CROs, Lines of Businesses, other internal Risk groups, and Corporate Treasury. Skills required in a Candidate - Experience in financial services or related field (previous experience in Controls management, Risk Management, Legal & Compliance, Internal/External Audit or other control function is desired) - Experience reviewing or advising on policies and frameworks is desired - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as a high level of self-initiative required, including an ability to balance and execute multiple projects at once and deliver results under tight time constraints - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently across different businesses and functional areas - Ability to work under pressure - Strong technical skills in Powerpoint and Excel - Understanding of the governance and controls surrounding risk monitoring including, stress testing, various return measures - Understanding balance sheet analysis, especially for Banks for traditional banking and complex non-banking products, preferred Specific responsibilities : - Develop and implement liquidity risk governance policies and procedures - Conduct independent reviews of regulatory requirements - Support and contribute to regulatory requests - Create high-quality reports for Boards, Regulators and internal use on a regular basis - Prepare and present briefings to senior management on key risk issues - Support the periodic review of Regulatory/Internal Limits and Indicators (serving as early warning signals) to help determine potential risks - Work closely with the team on a number of projects with regard to firm's liquidity, with a specific focus on enhancing control and governance - Managing the pipeline, inventory, and workflow of new Legal Obligations assigned to LRO - Support recurring deliverables including control committees
