Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) - Functional Consultant

Responsibilities:

- Ability to estimate the workload of implementation activities that are within the scope of their skills; able to ask appropriate questions to assess business needs that fall outside the standard solution, assess integration complexity, architecture constr.

- Ability to resolve complex problems with little to no guidance.

- Advanced expertise in performance tuning techniques.

- Analyzes and optimizes components to take advantage of project specific databases and system configurations.

- Appropriate database administration experience.

- Communicates solution and database interaction as it relates to the system architecture specific to the project needs.

- Communicates system architecture and JDA policies for architectural designs ensuring product compatibilities.

- Conducts technical analysis sessions with customers and/or the project team to understand the functional and technical needs of the customer and develops technical solutions to meet those needs.

- Contributes significantly to the growth of the technical consulting practice by developing and maintaining practice aids, databases, best-practice collateral.

- Leads a team of technical consultants/developers to deliver technical tasks on projects on time and to high quality.

- Provides a variety of technical support to the project team; including quality assurance/design review, environment setup, software installation, configuration, operations consulting, troubleshooting, system testing, programming, etc.

- Provides customer direction during implementation as it pertains to the product performance, support, and maintenance.

- Provides expertise on performance tuning techniques and assists other team members with benchmarking and sizing exercises.

- Provides guidance to Support Services in responding to base technical issues.

- Provides technical expertise on database structures, technical architecture, installation, and implementation. Recognizes and highlights incremental revenue opportunities within existing customer projects.

- Supports, as appropriate, solution integration points.

- Understanding and experience with the technical requirements for the product line assigned.

- Understanding of Database structures. Understanding of various technical platforms and infrastructures.

- Understands JDAs product suite so as to convey relationships and touch-points to the customer.

- Works with appropriate parties to ensure issues are resolved.

- Works with the appropriate parties to effectively estimate project timelines and provide timely, appropriate level of communication with respect to the work assigned.
