Skill, Knowledge &amp; Trainings: - Hands-on prior programming experience of at least 10 years in developing core, mission-critical, enterprise applications for the financial services sector. Should have implemented the said applications in any one or more of C/C++ or Java or .NET technology stacks. - Current responsibilities should include solution design, from understanding the business requirements to guiding the technical implementation of the solution. Should be able to perform critical reviews of technical solutions/proposals and to suggest improvements or alternatives along with their pros and cons. - Extensive experience with message-oriented middleware solutions/enterprise service bus (ESB) architectures. Knowledge of inter-process communication in Unix/Linux and of building resilient application interfaces over TCP/IP. - Extensive knowledge of web application development, web-based communication frameworks and application security of web applications - Sound understanding of databases and database management systems; prior experience with troubleshooting / optimizing query performance would be a definite advantage - Sound understanding of SOA, Microservices, cluster aware and cloud native applications. - Candidates with implementation experience in these areas would have an advantage. - Very good understanding of deployment architecture, use of build-and-deploy tools, Devops - Prior experience with conducting code reviews - both manual and tool based. Should be able to set out coding best practices and evaluate the efficacy of existing code review checklists and processes - Thorough understanding of SDLC processes including testing methodologies and business Core Competencies (Must have): - Designing / reviewing technical solutions to business requirements - Sound knowledge of technology tools and frameworks across a variety of areas (as listed above) - Continuous Learning - Forward-thinking technologist with a good understanding of latest trends in technology - Excellent communication skills - Excellent presentation skills using diagramming techniques impact analysis.
