Category Management:
- Category planning in terms of range building and merchandise mix keeping in view the financial plans to generate maximum margin profitability and increased customer base.
- Plan and implement category market Researches, understand Consumer Behaviour & find the new opportunities for the brands.
- Spearheading the team to play an active role in all aspects of the category from cataloguing to marketing initiatives to drive sales for the multiple sub categories.
Business Management:
- Business development initiatives to understand dynamics of the Women's Apparel category, market and growth opportunities in order to implement targeted action plans to achieve goals.
- Category P&L: Owns & deliver the Profit & Loss responsibility for the Women's Apparel Sub - categories and achieving the requisite top line and bottom line numbers.
- Responsible for planning & driving the annual operating plan (AOP) by analysing the trends, market size, growth rates & traffic data.
- Work closely with brands to plan events, campaigns & offers that drive traffic & conversion.
- Review department sales, stock turns, margins, gross profit, mark downs, closing year inventory for the month, quarter and fiscal year end.
- Reviewing & creating seasonal financial plan (OTB) to guarantee optimal inventory investment, increase merchandise flow and reduce markdowns for the respective category.
- Monitor sales reports and conduct financial analysis in order to identify business opportunities and close gaps in order to meet and exceed key performance indicators.
- Responsible for Global Sourcing with adherence to emerging trends, quality norms & cost factor in a competitive Market.
- Leverage Jabong's marketing & branding expertizes and technological capability to provide custom solutions to brands for addressing their growth & marketing aspirations.
- Managing, training and supervising team members across merchandising and buying.
Inventory Management
- Ensuring Right mix of merchandise availability by setting up the Re ordering planning as per the Sales budget, option plan & expected return from the category.
- Ensure optimum inventory levels by maintaining right mix of product availability, Top bottom Ratio, Predefined Size set, Fast movers & replenishment cycles are maintained to maximize the offering resulting in increased conversion/visitors.
