Role Overview:

The principal will be responsible for identifying investment opportunities and leading the investment process, in addition to managing portfolio companies. This role involves working closely with managing partners and senior team members, gaining hands-on experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, and business development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify investment opportunities and lead the investment process

- Build emerging investment theses and source new investment ideas/themes

- Lead a sector, support the diligence and closing of transactions end to -end.

- Evaluate new investment opportunities, field high volumes of pitches from founders

- Connect with key stakeholders within the Fund to vet opportunities

- Manage portfolio companies independently

- Offer operational support to portfolio companies as a mentor, advisor, or board member

- Monitor and analyze portfolio company performance

- Manage teams of VP, Associate & Analyst

- Maintain active participation in Indias startup community

Experience:

- 8-12 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or related fields, with a focus on SaaS/ Tech-based investing / consulting with strategic consulting firms / founding a startup

- 3-5 years investing experience in early stage/growth or VC ecosystem

- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in your area of work

- Ability to manage team & good convincing skills internally & externally

- Must have an entrepreneurial mindset

- Exceptional financial skills, including proficiency in Excel.

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with excellent research, problem-solving, and time management skills.

- Strong writing skills for preparing detailed reports and memos

- Fluent in deal negotiation, management of counsel, and review of legal documents.

- Familiarity with standard venture terms and concepts.

- Passion for new technologies and how they disrupt business models.
