IT Planning & Operations Role - FMCG MNC 


- The IT Planning & Operations role provides support to the leadership team to improve team effectiveness and enable the effective delivery of the IT Business Plan through business strategies and capabilities that drive operational performance and revenue.


- The IT Planning & Operations role achieves this through strategy deployment and ensures execution of the plan throughout the year. He/she is responsible for managing the vision and execution of the strategy through analysis and recommendations of the project portfolio and budget. He/she will use continuous improvement methodology to drive standards and visual metrics for the leadership team. 


- The IT Planning & Operations role drives team effectiveness through support of organizational team management, structured meetings, and change management. IT Planning & Operations role is essential for the day to day operations of the teams. He/she is a key liaison to the other IT organizations (STA, ITAS, Infrastructure) on assigned projects. 


- The IT Planning & Operations role is a key leader, partnering and influencing business strategies and capabilities to drive operational performance and revenue growth. This role ensures the effective operation and advancement of the org. The role will report directly to a vice president or senior director.

Key Accountabilities :

- Perform portfolio management activities in conjunction with Program Management Office, consolidating and recommending project priorities, and driving project through the IT processes

- Assist in maintaining a dashboard of all the key aligned activities between the functions and IT and helping keep the status up to date for review with Functional and IT leadership

- Oversee preparation and control of IT budgets for the team

- Partner with the IT functional leadership team to drive business value and higher levels of team performance through organizational team management (hiring process and job descriptions).

- Engage with Strategy, Technology & Architecture team to develop and maintain IT Business Plan for the Team.

- Act as liaison / coordination point for deployment of Corporate IT programs within the team (e.g., CI/LEAN, Talent Building)

- Identify and implement process improvements to deliver process efficiency, improve execution, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction via CI/LEAN methods and technology enabled solutions.

- Define goal management and tracking (i.e. metrics, reporting, performance analysis)

- Efficiently implement key corporate initiatives by leveraging existing resources and assets as well as coordinate ad-hoc requests and project assignments

- Plan, coordinate and facilitate team meetings, Town Hall meetings and other events including establishing operating rhythms, working with administrative support staff on scheduling, setting agendas, and driving appropriate follow-up.

Required experiences : 

- Exceptional verbal and written communication and project management skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at an executive level

- Ability to prioritize and manage work and trade-offs against critical timelines in a fast-paced environment

- Builds a strong internal and external network of personal relationships to identify issues and opportunities and provides positive, best-in-class perspectives to others (e.g., executive team)

- Experience in managing service delivery using multiple IT service using an off-shore model

- Experience and knowledge developing strategic planning, leadership, and organization delivery across a Global Enterprise.
