Head IT / CIO for a Leading Insurance Startup

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Digital Transformation

- To rapidly observe the business, its transactional volume, understand challenges/pain-points and break-through legacy IT systems.

- Recommend out-of-the-box, innovative, integrated solutions, bring in key automation initiatives, reduce redundancy and support critical business units (BUs), the likes of Claims, Fraud, Underwriting and more.

- Facilitate realistic use of technologies supplementing business growth across all business channels - Banca, brokers etc.

- Own and lead new futuristic digital projects involving Cloud AI, ML. Automation and Analytics to empower business to react quickly to evolving market dynamics.

- Play an integral role in influencing (Establish/Manage) P&L through digital adoption and digital product development driven KPIs for customers.

- Be a digital evangelist, championing the use of digital technology and practices to create a digital mindset from the top down.

Technology & Infrastructure

- To make Star Health as the leader in technology amongst all insurance companies in India.

- To bring relevant global best practices suitable to Star Health's business.

- To contribute and participate in annual planning process to identify the current needs, and forecast future IT related requirements of the organization

- To liaise with regulators, and security agencies and ensure protection and security of confidential information on organizational technology platforms and devise suitable policies for the same.

Team Development and Management

- To lead and mentor the team to ensure effective functioning

- To manage talent and optimize resource utilization

- To identify and ensure provision of training in the necessary areas

Interacting with:

- All internal departments: for understanding and providing services towards their IT requirements

- IRDA: for ensuring security guidelines compliance

- IT vendors for managing outsourced application and infrastructure development and maintenance for the organization
