Product Overview:

About Role:

Job Title: ESG Subject Matter Expert

- This person would be bringing in the ESG subject matter expertise that will help our product engineering teams to build a new product that will enable companies to manage the entire supply chain of their ESG needs which includes

- ESG Data aggregation

- ESG reports/templates for authoring

Analytics based on ESG data:

- The person needs to be able to define the product requirements which the Product Engineering teams can develop, turning a vision into reality.

- In addition, we also expect this person to actively participate in engagement with customers, partners.. and help our sales, marketing and business teams as we take our ESG offerings to market and build out our ESG business line .

Work Location: Remote working and open to travel to Navi Mumbai office where we are head quartered and Surat office where the Product Engineering team works. and also to client / partner locations as needed

Job Description:

- Track and provide the latest updates on ESG and related disclosure requirements across geographies such as India, US, Europe, UK etc.

- Prepare business requirement documents that will enable Product Engineering teams to develop ESG product based on enterprise requirements for different geographies.

- Will work closely with Product Engineering, customer facing, business and leadership team to deliver ESG product for global clients.

- Connecting with the Industry across geographies for understanding the framework's adopted and creating the databases for Framework development

- Provide advisory consultation to clients upon request regarding topics relating to corporate responsibility, sustainability, and ESG.

- Create guidelines, checklists, policies, procedures, and other related program content, to align with best practices and frameworks, and enable clients to carry out and enhance programs.

- Draft narrative content for sustainability reports, trends reports, and other communications.

- Lead or provide advisory support in professional design and layout of reports and communications.

- Lead or support qualitative landscape/benchmarking studies on corporate sustainability programs, goals, disclosures, performance, and rankings among companies, with corresponding data collection and analysis for client sustainability reporting, industry research, and data management needs.

- Support industrywide collaborative initiatives through project management, technical advisory, and coordinating functions and engagement for meetings, calls, workshops, training, presentations, and events.

- Create, update, and utilize project plans, reporting critical paths, tracking templates, and data platforms for both processes and performance data for client use and IRIS research, which incorporate the streamlining of various sustainability criteria and client deadlines.

Skills and Competencies:

- MBA or equivalent degree holders from top 10 management schools, with knowledge of project management.

Must have:

- Bachelor's/PG Degree with a focus on sustainable business and environmental studies

- Minimum 2 years performing ESG reporting and/or advisory work with frameworks and ratings (i.e. GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.) directly in an internal function within a company or rating, or as a consultant or industry organization

- Good understanding of current and emerging sustainability-related regulatory requirements (such as human rights due diligence, climate change risk management, etc)

- Strong communication, writing (in English), analytical research, and organizational skills

- Proactive and results-oriented

- Good understanding of the business application

- Problem-solving skills

- Understanding of Agile development methodologies

- Ability to work in a highly dynamic work environment

- Ability to work on multiple geo ESG requirements

- Excellent and clear communication with stakeholders, and teams and also able to engage with customers and partners on a need basis.

- Excellent presentation skills

- Ability to influence and work extremely well with product engineering, sales, business, and leadership team
