Investor Relations/Fund Raising & Corporate M&A Role (8-20 yrs)
Our client is a leading agritech company. Backed by some of the country's leading VCs and impact investors, its mission is to create linkages across the agriculture value chain by providing innovative capital solutions to producers, suppliers and customers. As the leader in this space it has secured Series D funding and is on the march to going public
The company is looking to hire strong finance professionals with experience in fund raising and M&A to beef up its investor relations, corporate development and strategy team. Strong investment banking and corporate development (in house M&A bankers) are welcome to apply.
The role will involve:
- Playing a key role in managing fund raising and acquisitions
- Playing a key role in stakeholder interaction with institutional investors (existing & potential investors)for example: facilitation of data requests, executive preparation for investor meetings and making sure key investor information and documentation is up to date
- Managing the company's relationships and coordinating with various service providers such as investment banks and external subject matter (tax, legal, accounting,valuations etc) experts as well as statutory authorities (SEBI, RBI, Bankers, Trustees, Auditors),
- Collaborating cross-functionally to determine key narratives and messaging to the investment community, determining the key metrics to be driven by the company and establishing/communicating the road map to enhance these metrics
- Preparing and maintaining the financial model - model projections and working with the business planning team as well as other teams across the organization to discuss, negotiate and finalize projections for important assumptions and business milestones in the model.
- Conducting market research, monitoring the competitive landscape, and develop an informed perspective on the ecosystem
- Driving strategic initiatives across the company
Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in M&A banking, private equity, venture capital or corporate development.
- Experience in the agri sector will be welcome
- Experience in coordinating with and managing external stakeholders such as regulators, investors, bankers, consultants etc
- Experience in managing transactions - a high degree of relevant technical skills will be expected
- Strong communication skills - oral and written (including presentation skills)
- Strong team management skills
