Position Overview:
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Investment Counsellor to join our team. As an Investment Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing sophisticated investment advice and curated solutions to HNI/UHNI clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial markets, a proven track record in managing investment portfolios, and exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships.
Responsibilities/KPIs:
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with HNI/UHNI clients.
- Understand clients' financial objectives, risk tolerance, and investment preferences to tailor personalized investment strategies/portfolios.
- Provide ongoing communication and proactive updates to clients regarding portfolio performance, asset allocation and market developments to identify opportunities & risks.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging investment trends to provide informed advice and innovative solutions to clients.
- Acquire new clients (via references from existing clients & open market) and Increase engagement of existing clients by providing complete financial planning solutions & portfolio reviews.
- Accountable to achieve annual targets on AUM & revenue in the respective geography. Aiming for consistent growth of customer wallet share and book size.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and educational seminars to showcase the firm's capabilities and expertise.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed an MBA from a premier business school. CFP, CWM, NISM or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management, wealth advisory, or related financial services roles.
- Good communication & presentation skills. English is mandatory and a command of the local language would be beneficial.
- Proven track record of successfully managing investment portfolios for HNI/UHNI clients.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, investment products & asset allocation framework.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, articulate investment concepts, and deliver compelling presentations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple client relationships in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, fiduciary responsibility, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
